This novel is definitely the best out of this lot!!! Likeable and smart MC, great pacing and intersting plot! Only problem is that there's not enough chapters yet!!!HOPE THIS GETS PICKED!!!!

I keep coming back to how the study itself functions in this scene. It's not just a backdrop—it's almost a character. Xu Zhiyuan has been 'busy in the study lately,' which tells us this is HER space, her domain. She's the one who asked to borrow it. And when He Jiayu walks in, she's so absorbed in her work that she doesn't even notice him at first. The description of her—'hair falling loosely around her face, too preoccupied to tidy it up'—this is such a specific, intimate image. It's the kind of detail that makes you feel like you're genuinely peeking into someone's private life. Then the professors on the video call become this weird audience to the scene. They watch her transformation from focused academic to blushing wife in real time. 'The look of happiness and joy on her face made it obvious that someone she cared about had returned.' They're not just background characters—they're witnesses. And He Jiayu's notes on her densely packed annotations? That's him observing her, studying her, appreciating her diligence. The scene moves from her solitary work space to an intimate shared space, and the physical closeness mirrors how the room itself closes in around them. By the end, the laptop is closed, the professors are gone, and it's just the two of them in that study. Then—BAM—ringtone shatters the atmosphere. The author uses the setting to control the mood so masterfully.
