I truly believe it's an excellent read, particularly during the initial storylines. The emotional impact of the endings left me in tears, and I found myself feeling frustrated on behalf of the female lead due to the manipulative nature of the system. That's why I've given it 4 stars - I see potential in the ongoing story, but my enjoyment waned as I progressed. While all the arcs have their merits, the first three stood out more to me. It's not that subsequent parts are bad; it's just that the system's constant interference starts to irk me more as the story unfolds.
I love this author and all of her works! I haven’t started reading it yet because it only has 5 chapters, but I really wanted to balance out the negative ratings. I don’t understand why people would rate it poorly when the story has barely begun! I adore the enemy-to-lovers trope, and this writer is an amazing combination. Translator, thank you so much for picking up this novel! ?

The story revolves around Berg, a young boy from humble beginnings in the slums. His daily life is unremarkable until he encounters a wealthy, yet not aristocratic, girl who has become lost in his world. Their relationship blossoms into a deeply moving love story, despite their stark differences in upbringing.
As they grow together, it seems their paths will lead to a blissful future... but fate has other plans. Spoiler alert: Sien awakens as a Saintess of a Goddess and is called upon to fight against the Demon King, tearing them apart. Lost without a clear purpose, our protagonist struggles to find peace.
Although the initial hook of the story hasn't concluded, the narrative so far captivates with its exploration of the challenges that come with losing one's sense of direction in life. I eagerly anticipate the upcoming chapters, highly recommending this engaging read for those who appreciate authentic character development and emotional depth.

Both of MC are smart, beautiful out of the world prefect..lol.. all the peasants and mortal not even come close to their prefection..
Strong MC and no damsel in distress..
Plot is quite good, the building relationship between MC also good.

I never understand why people who dislike dark or controversial themes still choose to hate-read novels that are clearly labeled as such in the tags, synopsis, and previous reviews, only to leave biased reviews and low ratings. Why would you subject yourself to something you know you won't enjoy when all the warnings are right there? Just leave the page and move on.
Anyway, I read this a long time ago from the raws, thanks to unfvcktheworld's review, and it was exactly what I expected: a twisted, problematic story. The main character (MC) has what seems like Stockholm syndrome, and the male lead (ML) undergoes significant character development, evolving from someone purposely raised by the government as an inhuman weapon to a more human individual. Despite the heavy themes, the story enticed me. The conflict between the first-life ML and the second-life ML was resolved well, and the MC, despite being in the worst possible situation, never gave up on his greatest desire—to regain his lost memories of his family, despite the risks.
I'm also glad the author wrote a short side story continuation after the ending, where the MC and the ML visit the MC's family. It was great to see the couple together after everything they went through, and it addressed one of the topics that had left me wondering—what happened with the MC's family.
Another story involving rape, confinement, and other disturbing elements that make it hard to read, especially without insight into the main character’s (MC) internal justification of it being part of his job. The MC isn’t as humorous or shameless as those in "Scum Shou" or its clones, nor are the stories as emotionally impactful as "Scum Gong" and its derivatives. The MC isn’t as intelligent as the protagonist in "FOD" or as cool as the one in "Killing the White Lotus." In the end, what remains is a rather average story featuring a moderately emotionally broken MC, an overpowered system with technical glitches, a rushed conclusion, and confusing chapter numbering (while JJWXC lists 97 chapters, the actual count seems closer to 58).
