Some might compare it to overpowered重生 stories, but this one stands out. Among the 36+ novels I've read with female leads, this one is my favorite because the supporting characters come alive. You'll form deep connections with the main characters, including the ML and FL, and even the villains (like Chu Zhao, whom I feel sorry for).
There's a spoiler ahead, so if you don't want to be spoiled, skip this part: I shed tears over the fates of characters like Yan He – it's heart-wrenching. But the story isn't solely about the FL's revenge; it delves into the broader aspects of war and the emotional turmoil it causes.
The author beautifully portrays the devastating impact of war, showing how it brings chaos and separation from loved ones. In this story, those loved ones include Ye Han, Hong Xiu, Shi Tuo, Hong Shan, Liu Buwang, and even the tragic villain Chu Zhao.
