Okay hear me out, the 1st part will be a bit slow and confusing but as it play out and all the pieces start falling into place you will be amazed by the past events, the characters are so loveable too.

I truly enjoyed the story and the female lead, but the male lead's behavior was incredibly annoying. He's by far the most irritating protagonist I've come across. That's the sole reason I gave the book 2 stars instead of 5.
From Chapter 105 onwards, his constant suspicion towards the female lead because of her exceptional military skills was frustrating. Despite her risking her life for her comrades and dedicating herself tirelessly, he couldn't seem to trust her. The explanation given for his skepticism was that she had to work harder due to her gender, but it didn't justify his actions. His arrogance and toxicity were off-putting. When she achieved success, he took all the credit for fifty chapters, constantly questioning her loyalty.
The worst part happened between Chapters 90 and 100. At a banquet, she saved him from a poisoned drink that had blinded her in her previous life. Instead of gratitude, he became even more suspicious and used her as a pawn. It was a terrifying situation where she could have lost her life or revealed her true identity to her enemies, who had wronged her in the past.
In summary, the male lead is an ungrateful character that ruins the otherwise enjoyable novel. If you can overlook such a despicable character, then it might suit your preferences, but for me, he's a glaring flaw in what could have been a perfect read.
