I'll say thanks for the novel as a whole although you are going to be finishing it soon but I'm also looking forward to your continued work with ZWJ as the MC again.I'm thinking about your future ZWJ base books like a ZWJ series. Keep it up.
'Boss Jiang, you made it very hard for our Lord to find you. Next time you move, remember to tell me.' I literally screamed reading this. Han You is the kind of side character who should have his own spin-off. Like, think about it—his entire motivation is food, but he's also genuinely loyal to Shen Zhengze, and there's this hilarious tension between those two things that the author never resolves and I am HERE FOR IT. But let me talk about the Cheng couple for a second because their dynamic is actually really well-drawn. Old Master Cheng is this stubborn, slightly ridiculous old man who refuses to learn from past mistakes (remember the grandson getting sick from the new restaurant?), and Madam Cheng is the one who actually holds the household together. She's the one who says 'I said to go to Zhang's from the start' and then has to deal with his stubbornness. But she's also the one who steps up when it matters—she doesn't just complain, she goes to learn the recipe herself. Her confidence is adorable and tragic in equal measure. And Jiang Mo's relationship with Shen Zhengze? This is where it gets tense. She's wearing a veil, calling him 'My Lord,' giving him this carefully crafted story about a childhood scar. She's performing humility while clearly being way more capable than she lets on. The author writes: 'her respectful expression was as if she were looking at a Buddha.' That's such a specific, loaded comparison. She's treating him like something to worship, but we know she's not actually submissive. The power dynamic is all wrong and she knows it, and that's what makes every interaction between them crackle. Shen Zhengze noticing the mole near her eye instead of being distracted by the veil—that's a character moment. He sees details. He's observant. And he doesn't push when she gives him an excuse, which shows he's not the tyrant she might fear. Or maybe he is, and that's the real question.
This is a pretty mid novel but it also feels shockingly short. In hindsight it felt like I read 5 chapters instead of the 19 I read. I've experienced novels that feel really short with nothing happening but this is beyond all of them. So far 2 things have happened. MCs wedding gone wrong and then one conversation with some mob character. Crazy stuff. There's nothing unique or particularly enjoyable about this novel, I'm struggling to find any redeeming qualities apart from "well it isn't trash" and the fact that it has a decent translation. The relationship between the ML and FL is really uninteresting, tedious and sometimes just vexing to read. The MC is incredibly unlikable when he's around her or just thinking/talking about her (from before he even met her). He's pretty decent otherwise and actually kinda entertaining, if the author makes him more likeable he could probably carry this series on his own. Even though I'm critical (almost excessively) about this novel I do think it has potential as a decent comedy and I can only hope it doesn't get squandered too badly. 2.5/5I've read every trial novel this week with the exception of Pet Simulator (i hate the taming novels) and so far almost single pick has been bearable, Maximum Comprehension being the one shabby novel. Good job Webnovel.
I am giving 2 star for this novel. But it's not worth 2 star. There lies so many problem with this novel.First no suitable name for MC Everytime calling him little guy.Second story development is so badThird no thirll , excitement , emotion in this novel. So I drop this novel.
good. he should write harry potter books. then make movies after 10 years.................................................................................................................................................
This book was incredible since he went to hell but that all ended just because he couldn’t kill the girls at the tournament for bull**** reasons.
I love this already but up updating the story daily would be awesome if you have time of course and I love how this is game like. I love the characters
Having read the first 20 chapters I feel that this is decent enough to be picked for translation (fingers crossed) that is assuming that the story continues in a good direction. There is a lot of room for the story to grow and for the MC to develop should the author put in the effort. Still it's decent quality for a webnovel
A very nice and good story. Love it Amazing
Feels like any regular bad game novel with all the cliches except the mc is a bit more likable. Filler fijdkekekdkdkdkkdkddkdkdkkdkdkdkdkkdkd
