I've just passed this part, and it makes sense to me.These are the stats: “Vitality | Strength | Agility | Intelligence | Wisdom | Dexterity”The actual choices are: Physical path. Tier 3 path. Free stat jump in the physical stats up to 9, but limited to only training 3 stats ever again. Magical path. Tier 3 path. Two free randomly chosen perfect elemental affinities. Still limited to training 3 stats ever again. Archery path. Tier 2 path. Free ability that allows you to see details of anything wtihin 1k kilometers, but can only train in 4 stats of the 6 stats ever again. And the last one gives no free stats, but allows you to train in every stat and with work gain every ability above. And the "10%" isn't survival rate. It was the chance he would achieve the Rank 1 Novice upgrade by the age of 16 because he will need to get every one of his stats to 10 before he can do so.The chance of death is because the world will be jealous of his ancient lost method and want to capture or kill him to get their hands on it if they ever find out. And his death in his previous life was due to someone finding out about him following this tier 1 path. So he could choose the 'easier' paths and get a little fast tracking. Or the hardest path, but get literally everything as long as he puts in the work. I'd choose it, as well.
Who is Xu Qing again?
Damn, this is one of the best SciFi, Mecha novels that I have read !
The translation quality is excellent and the update stability is great.
The world building is done in an understandable manner and the character designs are intriguing.
I am looking forward for more chapters and am looking forward to the unveiling of He's and Mu's background!
Author and Translating Team, please keep up the Great Work!
this looks like a harem? the mc has so many annoying girls around him and he is also getting turned on by a woman whose age can pass as his mom! so I'll drop this!
This is one of the most disappointing stories I've ever read. The story concept is fantastic and the setting is amazing! Unfortunately, the main character continuously shows no growth mentally, and slowly devolves into a psychopathic killer who cares only about themselves. They repeatedly tease the readers by showing a small amount of emotional growth, then immediately revert back into being a heartless killing machine. If you want to watch someone fall into being a villain, I guess this story is for you. I wish there had been a tag for it, because I wouldn't have wasted my time.
The plot itself is incredibly engaging and enjoyable, but most of all, it's unconventional and unique. The writing quality is descriptive yet not overly so, making it an amazing read.
Keep up the good work, author!
I read ahead on the raws, and I have some unhappy news for everyone: the author is a foot fetishist. I'll die a happy man if I never have to read about someone's "fragrant jade feet" ever again.
When I first read this, the thing that instantly popped into my mind was [I really am a superstar]. I enjoyed it in the beginning as I didn’t really have much expectations, however, the story just got blander and blander.
Pace is a little too fast for me, to be more specific, I personally feel that the MC is going through too much knowledge way too fast. And each one of the skills he gets is annoyingly bad or unserious.
While it may be cool to speak to dogs, cook addicting food, read a person’s fate, in the end, I don’t really see the direction this story wants to go. Other than the overly stated ‘become the great master Lin’. I mean, what does the MC get out of it?
In the beginning, he is poor and in business city ShangHai. But by by the time I read a few chapters in, it’s like he just wants to be lazy and not work, pushing it off on reasons such as ‘I don’t care about fame nor fortune’.
The side characters other are 2D. Other than their intro chapters where we barely get to know them, they just become the cheerleaders, knowledge providers, or little brother collection pieces...
Now for those who don’t like IRAS, I’m not saying it’s the best novel in the world, but at least compared to Lin Fan, Zhang Ye actually has a goal! It may get side tracked or put aside for some faceslaping/romance, but the ultimate end goal is still to become a world famous celebrity (perhaps even the number one).
One other point is that all the antagonists or ‘cannon fodder’ characters all had their IQs lowered to make the MC look smarter.
An example:
News report: Cloud street has 200% sales increase since MC moved in.
Realtor A: let’s increase everyone’s rental fees the second time this year by 100%! That’s a smart move, the shop owners definitely won’t riot...
MC + party: We resist! If you don’t take it back, we will leave this place!
Realtor A + Company: let them move, it’s not like MC is the reason for the sales increase....
#please look at the news report!!!
In the end, I’m not saying people absolutely won’t enjoy this, but I was most certainly unsatisfied with it’s presentation.
so first the world background is insanely confusing like heavily discribe as medieval then there are cars and simulation equipment? second no clear definite ranking scale like at all its extremely confusing. like 40 pages in and he is already instructor level??? and third alot of typos and other English problems.
This book may be better than others in this batch but the original was dropped by the author halfway through. The same thing happened to the other book written by the author
Really enjoying the build up so far.
Unlike most novels, this gives a fresh perspective on MC. From the author's words its clear he is creating an MC who doesn't have any cheats.
I am 20 chapters in and the MC is still searching for a cultivation technique. He isn't OP yet and it looks like he will take some time to become OP.
A common person's perspective on cultivators is also unique. Here they are not thought of gods, rather as demons. Truly, what does it matter to a mortal if a cultivator is good or evil?
Having great hope for this novel...
A good reincarnation novel, with a stable plot (ch. 40s). For those who hate vr, don't worry, this is not it.
**. Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want them to do you so much you could do anything?
