Like Shinomiya said in her review, the cast is very colorful early on. Each has their own distinctive personality and drives.

5 stars for encouragement. I couldn't pick the mage novel back up due to the long separation right as the novel started, and the fact that MC's step-mothers got developed without getting added to harem at the point i stopped reading. Will this novel have separations like those, or develop friendzoned characters? I don't like reading about other characters relationships instead of focusing on MC in harem novels.
Overall, this is a highly entertaining novel with interesting plotlines and unexpected twists—though not the mind-boggling kind, they’re still very enjoyable. The pacing is solid, and the storytelling keeps you engaged throughout.One aspect I find less appealing, however, is the author’s tendency to keep villains alive for potential future use. While the villains themselves are exceptionally well-written and compelling, I personally have a strong aversion to the recurring villain trope. It’s something I’ve seen done poorly in many other books, and it’s made me wary of it, even when executed well. In fact, I dropped another book by this same author a year ago for the same reason.That said, this is more a personal bias than a flaw in the writing. The author’s skill is undeniable—his world-building, character work, and pacing are top-notch. I’ve truly enjoyed his works and have a lot of respect for his ability to craft such immersive and engaging stories.I’ll also add a fair warning: the main character is brutal. Not quite in a blood-curdling, horror sense, but definitely violent enough to make even readers familiar with darker books pause and go, “Damn.” It fits the tone of the story well, though, and adds to the MC’s impact.If you don’t mind a little blood, vengeance, and villains that refuse to stay dead, you’re in for a gripping ride.

i lobe this one. it is realistic and i'm not talking about the fantasy elements obv, but the genuinety of the characters. they're not flat. world building is gr8 too, no info dumps we get to understand the world with the mc.the sentence structures are impeccable, wide vocab that's far from being repetitive. it is obvious that the author is pulling their weight with this novel. definitely recommend
Story is good. But the MC quiet useless. Dumb and stupid decision. Weak for being a former s-class hunter. More like a ****ty hunter. Many forced interaction and filler. Sometimes it pain in the ass to read it. Come 12 yr with 40+ mental age still looking for a date. More like a forced romance. Its like more ****ty to reincarnation a ****ty hunter. But well if you can ignore all the fault u can still enjoy the novel. But for me, sorry it’s not my cup of tea. And sorry for being harsh.
This is a great novel. It’s world is built differently than the standard “transmigrated to giant planet, has new family, grows stronger in a school with bullies” and it’ so refreshing to read. I 100% reccomend giving this novel a chance!
Great story.We always hear story about exception like how a guy has iq of 166 or a guy who is cultivation genius or a fighting expert. But this story is different it's about a guy who wanted to be a cultivation genius but it's reality he barely passed the test got admitted to a academy he didn't even knew existed. let's see his journey.Keep up good work author ??
