This novel really gets under my skin. The main character (MC) is utterly alone, with no support. From the start, Herod betrays her to the male lead (ML), who then has ulterior motives towards her. And let's not forget about her infuriatingly stupid father – it's infuriating how he treats her.
The ML's actions are despicable; he tries to manipulate and control her life after causing so much damage. If there's any sense of justice in this story, I expect a miraculous intervention where the MC pulls out a gun and puts an end to his nonsense.
There's one character, OgFL, who seems kind-hearted and stands out as the only likable person, not against the MC. However, her father's obsession with the past and his cruel treatment of her are mind-boggling. He actively seeks out terrible suitors for her, disregarding her feelings. Why make her suffer so unnecessarily?
Even though the MC handles herself well, the ML's relentless cruelty is unbearable. The unfairness of her situation raises my blood pressure. I empathize with her, wishing she could escape from his grasp and find peace.
While I understand not all stories need a strong female lead, the MC's plight feels unjust. Her father's hatred drove her to a breaking point, and in the original, she ends up marrying one of those absurd suitors. It's frustrating that the ML refuses to let her live a normal life or seek the justice she deserves.
The male lead, a toxic presence, is bent on torturing her, seemingly without regard for consequences. I wouldn't be shocked if he pushed her to the brink by crippling her permanently. Despite the translation being excellent, the content itself is emotionally charged.

Pros:
1. This really, Really, REALLY a good novel. It is easy to read and the plot isnt that complicated. Most of the time its all about the Slice of Life between the MC, his Elfin (Game Pets or Historical Pets aka like Hachiko), the Side Characters, and the Industry
2. A LOT of good drama side stories which will touch your heart! (I cried at some tbh)
3. A LOT of useful information about pets and events that are REALLY useful in IRL (Literally, I have pets so I can understand, can also help others decide which pet breed to have)
4. Comedy is TOP TIER! (If you have read Im Really A Super Star then its that level of Comedy)
5. MC is as shameless as those shamless OP characters in Wuxia or Xianxia! ?
6. No Chinese Supremacy or Racism so far
Cons:
1. Its a slice of life novel so its better to treat it as a casual read if your a fantasy weeb
2. You get bored if your not fan of modern genre, especially with 1800+ chapters
3. 65% of the plot are side stories
Im at volume 4 chapter 26, this is good dude. Remember when the mc fell into abyss? In other Novel, when mc died the girl the mc despised will revenge but in this novel. They didn't revenge but they just dont care after he fell which is super new to me.
