I need to talk about how the author handles the shift from the nightmare sequence to the morning after. You You wakes up at 8:30, red-rimmed eyes, dazed like a 'little penguin' — and then we immediately cut to A Jiu buying breakfast. No awkward transition, no 'meanwhile' or 'later that day.' It just flows. The nightmare lingers in You You's expression and then the story moves forward naturally. The structure of these chapters is really clever because it alternates between You You's perspective and Lu Fei's inner world without any jarring jumps. We see Lu Fei waking up four times during the night, scrolling Weibo, the hate comments literally described as 'bullet comments' scrolling through his mind. This gives us his psychological state BEFORE we see him interact with You You, which makes their first real interaction so much more loaded with tension. And the pacing of the bathroom incident — it builds so organically. You You is bored, then hungry, then stomach pain, then the toilet struggle, then the overflowing sink, then the quiet knocking on the door. Each beat escalates naturally and the reader is right there with her, getting more anxious with every passing minute. The twenty-minute gap where she's suffering alone is agonizing in the best way. The chapter ends on Lu Fei's face — presumably some kind of expression shift — which is a classic cliffhanger that makes you immediately want to continue. The author knows exactly when to tighten the screw and when to let the reader breathe.

I never read the book, but I must say, \\"I fell for the boy his daddy was a bonus\\" sounds a little pedophilic and strange.
when are you going to update. I don't want to read any more till there is more to the story.

Absolutely Loved this book. I feel like I say this after every book and I probably do because I have read every book since the beginning of your series. I love how every Character and detail can be pictured as I read the books. Another Book Wrapped up. I can’t wait for the next book. ...️...️
