I really enjoyed reading this story of Kate & William. The way it ended did feel rushed bc so much had happened & yet it was wrapped up too perfunctorily. The story could've had a few more chapters providing explanations re: Cordelia, Paris & Jax's relationship with Kate. More on K&W's life 2-gether

I need to talk about Luo Yunxi because this girl appeared for maybe five minutes and already carved herself into my brain. She's the one who offers Feng Moxi the moldy steamed bun. Not because she's trying to manipulate her—she's genuinely afraid, trembling, whispering 'this is the apocalypse now' like she's trying to convince herself as much as Feng Moxi. And then there's the contrast with Feng Moxi herself. The first thing she does after waking up is glare at Luo Yunxi like the girl personally offended her, and the narrative makes it clear this isn't cruelty—it's trauma response. Four years of apocalypse survival compressed into a girl's body that can't even stand up. The moment Feng Moxi catches herself slipping back into her old gentle persona and calling herself 'Xiaoxi'—that tiny beat of self-awareness where she freezes because she's accidentally reverted to her previous-life habits? That's some of the best character writing I've seen in this genre. It shows how deeply her old identity was wired into her, how hard it'll be to shed. And Wan Wanxin—just mentioned in flashbacks and internal monologue, but already feeling like a fully realized villain. The cousin who 'protected' Feng Moxi, who took her necklace, who eventually threw her to the beasts. The betrayal isn't just romantic rivalry; it's layered. Was it jealousy over feelings for the same man? Or was it always about the bead, and Feng Moxi was just too naive to see it?

very nice story..but author I have one concern, not only in ur story, in most of the stories..lead will repent only after finding family was accused wrongly. so if it was not misunderstanding then female lead shud suffer life long is it..He will never love for her innocence is it
