I love this book
Enjoying the character development. Wishing that the author would update more regularly.
Okay so let me just say this plot device is absolutely genius. An Yu buys chestnuts from Yinxing at a cheap price and then resells them to Tiezhu for THREE TIMES the cost. 600 points per jin! And Scar is mad about it but then immediately joins in because he also wants more sweet potatoes. This is such a clever subplot — it's not just about survival food, it's about the squad building a little economy around Yinxing's low-pollution crops. The way An Yu explains his plan with that sneaky grin, like he's some kind of underground entrepreneur — 'I like eating this sweet potato, so I figured I'd use these chestnuts to exchange for more points' — this is the kind of character moment that makes a story feel alive. It's not a dramatic twist or a life-or-death revelation, but it's genuinely satisfying to watch these characters figure out how to survive in their world. And then Yinxing's own subplot with Boss Qian is basically the same thing from the other side — she's haggling over 20 points per half-kilo for sweet potato leaves while secretly knowing the market rate is higher. Two sides of the same coin, really. The plot doesn't need explosions to be engaging.

This book could be awesome but the grammar is awful, and the sentences make no sense. This sounds like someone whose very lacking in education wrote it. Almost as if a grade school student. I won’t be reading the rest of this book. Can’t get past all the awful writing.
