A novel with a very nice premise, written by an author who has already proven their capacity to write this sort of story, expect a nice side-serving of comedy to go along with the whole thing!
came from your originals book but your writing is fire so why not 5 stars ?
update more chapters in the book please and do it regularly
I haven’t completed the first chapter but I had to come review. I give this all 5s no 1 tye names another Nigerian author?.And again story’s captivating. Keep it up author!!! I’m in this!!
Overall, I like it. It did take a lot of chapters to really get a feel for what exactly was going on. It definitely takes at least a passing understanding of Chinese culture, specifically filial piety, to get through the early stuff. Also kowtowing, punching down, face-slapping and such. The background mysteries are pretty interesting. You genuinely want things to work out for the lead - and her slow warming wife - even if Meixiu's methods of going about things stay on a continuously confusing line of "I'm keeping my secrets for reasons, just believe they are good ones".
Omggg another novel from Ann, and the synopsis looks amazing. Already know I'll love it!!!
I like kingdom building and I like this
A great read with excellent character and world building, story progression is a bit slow at the moment but I understand it's due to setting up for future events. Over all a solid start and I can't wait to see how it progresses.
This is the best novel I've read in a long time and I love it. But I would really like to see chapters published more often. I hope the novel will be continued to the end and not dropped.
Way too unrealistic for any ottoman ah, the empire isnt turkish republic where its small enough and linked to europe for Ataturks reforms to work, here the middle east is included with its majority muslim and devout population, the whole thing is a powder keg that wont bend to the tanzimat without fully revolting or losing control, by modernizing with no consideration to the devout in your most prosperous potential lands you jeopardize any future to those lands in the empire.Should have included the Ottomans as protectors of the faith to bring the arabs into the fold or they will inevitably revolt after feeling disenfranchised and alienated. This method of reforms is however perfect for a smaller empire which is modern turkey+balkans without the lands of arabia
Last update was a long ago. ?.. Story is interesing
