I love the plot but I agree that this story is entirely too long. There are some parts that don’t really do anything for the storyline and are like filler material. I was initially engaged but at this point I’m not even halfway through and I’m ready for this to be wrapped up.
Okay so let me just say - the pacing in these chapters is absolutely masterful. The author takes us through this brutal sequence of obstacles: the air conditioning unit crossing, the zombie hand smashing through the window, the steel bar bridge, Wang Hui's injury, and THEN the reveal of Sunrise Shelter. Each obstacle raises the stakes higher than the last, and just when you think they can't possibly get any worse, they do. But here's what really struck me - the shelter itself functions as this massive plot twist. Su Rui's group has been surviving for years in squalor, and suddenly there's this place with 24-hour electricity and water and microwave food? It completely upends everything they thought they knew about the post-apocalyptic world. The narrative structure here is brilliant because it mirrors the survivors' own journey - we're exhausted alongside them, and then BOOM, this impossible oasis appears. The only question now is whether Su Rui can bring his family here, and whether the shelter's secrets will become plot points themselves. That prohibition sign on the water purification and power generation rooms? I'm betting my crystals that's where the next major revelation happens.

As always you did not disappointed me. I stopped reading this book when you started book 4th of the Alpha series. Can’t wait for the sequel to come out.
Most of the chapters are locked ?otherwise its interesting and i find it with all these books that I'm reading so far... I really enjoy reading them.. So how csn i rate if i dnt know the end.. And isn't it enough that we already downloading the books.. Now we have to pay again and its expensive...
