This appears to be a poorly constructed novel, particularly for readers with developmental disabilities. Upon delving into the first few chapters, it becomes apparent that the author failed to weave the story, setting, characters, and their actions into a coherent narrative. Characters engage in illogical actions, and the plot progresses independently of them, as if they're mere pawns being dragged along, akin to a lifeless cat on a leash.
This tale is one of my all-time favorites when it comes to world travel narratives. The translation is top-notch, and it consistently evokes strong emotions.
The main character is ruthless, shamelessly self-serving, and intellectually limited.
I must express my genuine longing for the previous translator; the current one seems to be more of a literal translator, providing machine-translation (MTL) with inconsistent naming conventions. It's like having a disappointing aftertaste following the delightful translations we had before. Despite this, I'm still thoroughly enjoying the novel, which is why I endure the poor quality.
I'm leaving this comment because the reviews for this novel are absurd. Seriously, how can you review a book based on just a few chapters, like 3, 10, 12, or around 20? It just makes you seem无知.
None of the criticisms hold any weight. The main character (MC) was bullied in school, which led to his suicide at the start. After being reincarnated in another world with classmates who didn't join, he discovers a new sense of hope. However, his class is useless, which becomes a disappointment. Initially, his classmates look down on him for his past suicide, but critics seem to justify ridiculing him as a coward.
The supposed reviewers abandon the story when the MC threatens violence in retaliation, despite his recent trauma. But if they continued reading, they'd see that the MC isn't a cold-blooded killer; he only threatens those who wronged him gravely. He seeks revenge on those responsible for the hero-summoning ritual, which involves heinous acts. His quest for justice is the driving force of the story. Yet, some readers claim he won't seek revenge, which is unfair without giving the narrative more depth.
Frankly, the poor reviews stem from people disliking the MC's suicide, failing to understand his growth and redemption. They can't accept a character who displays vulnerability, particularly one who deals with bullying and depression. But is it so uncommon for someone to struggle to cope?
As for the rating, I'm unsure if a 4/5 is appropriate, but a 1/5 for superficial judgments is definitely unjustified. Give the story a chance beyond the initial chapters.
Its a great story. But Its so frustrating too, it says sm*t but there isnt any detailled sm*t. Its like '' and then they f*ck*d, whole night, non stop" and thats that. You'll get blue balled icl. Its a disappointment for those who wants snu snu, but have a good plot!
This one is better or My Divine Diary??
MC isn't brain dead but how author writes is. Every new paragraph is simple thought of MC. He either agrees on something, rejects something, or kill someone. No other dialogue or inner thoughts for anything other than cultivation.
I'm only at a dozen chapter in, but man, it's annoying for me.
Is the chapter skippable, i.e. is there important information there? And which chapter?
Can you tell me if it's before, during, or after RIM?
The writing is commendable, with an intriguing plot that unfolds as the protagonist regains consciousness with no recollection of his past. Joining a special forces unit becomes a novel storyline for me. The story's appeal lies in its captivating exploration of the protagonist's journey as he navigates a world with limited knowledge, providing a delightful reading experience.
Each chapter adds more depth to the narrative, gradually revealing mysteries that keep the reader engaged. The main character's self-discovery is a central theme, as he poses questions to himself about his identity. One of the highlights is the protagonist's personality - a hardworking, kind, yet innocent nature that adds humor to many situations, making for a truly enjoyable read.
