This is five years old, I didn’t even know the site has been around that long, but it has been posting FANFIC since then!
I typically don't have a preference for this genre, but for some reason, I unexpectedly enjoyed this particular novel. There were moments where I found myself supporting the main character, Wu Jin. It's important not to overanalyze the plot; after all, it's a misunderstandings-based story, so just let yourself get absorbed in it and you'll likely have a good time.
Firstly, let me clarify: I genuinely enjoy this novel, but it's undeniably absurd. Why? Because it's a work meant to be taken with a grain of salt; delving too deep would lead to frustration. I'd recommend it to those who have leisure time on their hands (like myself), are seeking hearty laughter (likewise, me), and appreciate a plot that doesn't follow a strict path (also, me).

The lack of direction in the narrative prevents it from earning a higher rating. Despite my appreciation for its open-ended nature, a more conventional plot structure would've been beneficial.

I find the characters, including Satou, likable. Their quirky, laid-back personalities, stemming from their broken common sense due to Satou, are charming. The score doesn't reach 5/5 solely because there's minimal character growth, which is forgivable in a lighthearted setting.

This aspect shines, receiving top marks. The book's theme of not taking things seriously is both hilarious and relatable. Virtually every chapter evokes laughter, either directly or through anticipation for what comes next.
Overall, while the story may not be conventional, the novel compensates with its amusing characters and theme, making it an enjoyable read despite its flaws.

Maybe it's too early in the story, but I specifically looked for the romance tag and filtered out "dense MC." However, once again, the main character (MC) is both dense and extremely self-deprecating, despite the absence of the "dense MC" tag. His friend is fantastic and deserves all the praise, and it’s good that the MC acknowledges his past misbehavior. However, he isn’t making any effort to change; instead, he keeps saying he doesn’t deserve happiness and will spend his life watching over his friend from a distance. He constantly thinks, "They hate me, and they’re right," "My friend should be the one adored" (even though he already is), and "That girl loves my friend, of course, he’s great, so I’ll make sure they have their space" (despite her clearly following him and saying she was looking for him). I’m not saying he can’t feel this way, but I insist that the "dense MC" tag be added.
What an unexpected turn of events. Despite the lack of a "brainwashing" tag, it's likely that the machine learning process subjected the protagonist to such manipulation during their confinement, making them believe they are a cat. The story is brief but carries a dark and intriguing twist.
Well, I don't read many novels and I'm more of a casual reader. I stumbled upon this book because the artwork caught my eye - it's quite popular, ranked around 20 on Novelpia's Life Picks, which made me think it's decent. My interest was initially piqued by the visuals, but I didn't see any official TL group associated with it, apart from some low-quality MTL sites. So, I had given up until I revisited the site and learned that Novel Utopia picked it up. Now, I'm really excited about it.
The premise of the story seems a bit confusing, either due to a flawed translation or my lack of understanding. It appears the main character (MC) has appeared as a supporting or lead character in other novels, and now they're in an academy setting. There's a class called Spearman, which is considered common, and the character isn't even a significant side character. Their class seems insignificant to the point that the academy doesn't assign any teachers for it.
It's really up to personal preference whether you'd enjoy it or not. As of now, there are only three translated chapters, so it might be difficult to make a judgment without reading more. I'd encourage you to give it a try and form your own opinion, as my enthusiasm and excitement might not be the most reliable review. After all, I'm just a happy and eager reader, not a critic.
