Amazing writer. Beautiful book cover. Wow!
The plot seems good n has potential. But the flow of the story is not good. There's a lot of contradictions between emotions n behaviour. A lot of jumping around. A lot of it doesn't make sense.
Towards the end, cheating on ur mate is taken as a trivial thing.
Great story. Short and smooth. I really like this story.
Dear author,
I hope you will read my comment. I have been reading your novel and I really like it so far. But I really wish that Ava will find her happiness with Alpha Dane and even if she didn't end up with him, please don't make him a psycho like you did with victor.
The protagonist begins as an ordinary individual but ascends to power through cunning strategies, embodying the roles of historical figures like Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, or Lu Su from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The narrative revolves around an intriguing dynamic among the main characters: the protagonist showcases moments of brilliance but lacks physical prowess or political support, while the warrior woman has strength and backing as a noble but is initially naive. The megalomaniac queen, on the other hand, is highly intelligent but also残忍且有征服欲望.
All characters rely on each other for success and survival. Recent chapters reveal not only the protagonist's skill but also their manipulative nature and cold-heartedness, such as deceiving an elfin love interest and orchestrating a conflict to further their goals, which tragically leads to heartbreak and sacrifices. The antagonist(s) are well-developed, with relatable backgrounds and motives, and their plans are clever and complex.
The story does not adhere to a simple "good vs. evil" narrative; instead, it explores the harsh consequences of the protagonist's decisions, causing rifts, injuries, and even mass casualties. Romantic elements serve to propel the plot and provide a balance to the darker themes, avoiding gratuitous violence for shock value. The protagonist's morality is shades of grey, as they convince a heroine to take drastic measures, including sacrificing herself, to uphold her beliefs.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and finished it in one sitting; it was exceptional for me. The story had both hilarious moments that brought immense laughter and profound sections that prompted deep reflection on life. I envied the characters' dynamics but marveled at the strength of their relationship. Ting's character development was outstanding, despite Changyi remaining relatively consistent, and it was evident how Ting positively impacted his life. Changyi's maturity seemed to have a significant influence on Ting, complementing each other's flaws. Their chemistry was captivating, and I wholeheartedly recommend this to my fellow BL readers. This novel has indeed shaped my perspective on relationships, leaving me with sighs and new insights. The translation was superb, and I am extremely grateful for the translators' work.
The main leads are truly sweet and work wonderfully together. Their romance develops beautifully, and seeing their vulnerabilities and how they open up and rely on each other is absolutely delightful.
The side characters are also well-developed and multi-dimensional; I shed a few tears over some of the more tragic backstories.
My only issue with this novel is that I found it challenging to follow about 10-20% of the time. The story and world-building are very complex, and I couldn't fully grasp some of the key points, which somewhat impacted my enjoyment of the story.
**Spoiler**
I still don’t understand why the Male Lead (ML) has the physical constitution to become a root. Where did he come from? Why did his body react the way it did to the immortal wine? Additionally, for the Main Character (MC), I’m still unclear on how the Children of Desire are created. Are they naturally born with 'monster material' imbued with desire from birth?

Despite my confusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the story’s highs and lows, as well as the romantic moments. The unveiling of secrets at the beginning was particularly engaging.
It’s almost a favorite, and I might re-read it (hopefully, I’ll gain a better understanding if I do).
The way the novel's written makes it hard to get through or maybe it's the TL. Didn't really enjoy it
Then I am gonna read it.
Thanks bro for the info.
