Excellent translation. Excellent discriptions of fight scenes. Engaging dialog between main characters. Inner monolog is not annoying and shows a lot of self discovery. If you are a guy, some parts might make you cringe. I couldn't help laughing. Sorry, not sorry. Cultivation isn't a heavy focus but developing fighting skill has a higher priority at this point.40 chapters of decent length go by all to fast. If this was a printed book, I would buy every book in the series at this point. I can't wait for more. I really hope this gets picked for continuing with chapter releases.

Has FANTASTIC character development and is a great plot. I can find no fault in this story weather its the character development, the plot or any other of the elements. And theirs always 2 or more new chapters EVERYDAY. If that is not the best then you have impossible standers. Always exciting and no chapters that you skip over because they get off track of the story. Detailed but no overly to where I feels overwhelming. Overall hands down one of the best novels I have ever found and hope I continues for a long time

Okay so let me just say this upfront: the plot in these chapters is genuinely clever and I'm not just saying that because I want to finish reading faster. The whole setup where Jiang Wanwan agrees to date Shen Tingjun for a year in exchange for him helping her get a job and get off some kind of list—it's not some lazy romance trope. It's actually a survival strategy she's executing with cold calculation. She's a transmigrator who knows the original plot, and she's actively rewriting her own path. That's not a typical female lead move. The way the author structures the tension between chapters is really well done. You've got the hospital opening with Jiang Wanwan being practical about cold cream and roasted chicken, then BAM—Shen Tingjun appears in an alley and suddenly the whole power dynamic shifts. He corners her, he knows things about her, he drops hints about his connections. And she's not just some helpless girl here. She slaps his hand away and threatens to report him all the way to Beijing. That's a woman who's not going to take nonsense. What I found most interesting is how the plot keeps revealing information in layers. First we learn Shen Tingjun scammed three thousand yuan and didn't get sent to a labor camp. Then we learn his uncle is the director of the Provincial Revolutionary Committee. Then we learn about the connection between his deceased mother's surname (Gu) and the provincial director (Gu Zhansheng). Each reveal makes you reconsider what you thought you knew about him. Is he dangerous? Yes. Is he also capable of genuine affection? The text leaves that ambiguous in a way that keeps you turning pages. And then there's the subplot with the original plot itself. Jiang Wanwan thinks she's settled it—she's in the city, she has a job, she's dating Shen Tingjun on her own terms. But the fact that she's even thinking about the original plot tells us something: the story isn't done with her yet. There's always that underlying tension that the transmigration narrative creates. You know the original character's fate, and you're waiting to see if she can actually escape it. I'm genuinely curious about what happens next. The author has set up so many threads—the factory job, the school, Shen Tingjun's family dynamics, the original plot that's supposedly been abandoned—and they all feel like they're building toward something. The pacing is tight, the conflicts are escalating, and I can't stop reading.
