TheForgottenLegend
524 when i see the night watchman i think game of thrones and then it is game of thrones woww
This is indeed one of my all-time favorite reads, which is why I've taken it upon myself to revise the entire series to give it the recognition it deserves. You can find the rewritten versions of chapters 1 to 66 on Re:Library, though the project is still ongoing.
The story's concept, while not entirely unique, captivates me with its seamless execution. Initially, the characters are immersed in their game as usual, but gradually, they start experiencing extraordinary sensations, like heightened senses, that hint at something beyond ordinary. The transition to the alternate world feels so natural that they initially dismiss it as a new update, attributing it to the game's mechanics. Our protagonist, for instance, wakes up 30 years ahead, embodying their ideal female avatar crafted from a vanity case – a paid item enabling character customization.
Caught in this bewildering situation, the protagonist questions reality. Everything around them appears authentic – the grass, the atmosphere, even NPCs exhibit human emotions. The familiarity of the surroundings, save for the missing three decades, leaves them utterly confused. To add to the intrigue, their original male avatar has become a legendary figure!
Driven by curiosity, she embarks on a quest to reunite with her initial companions, hoping they can shed light on the circumstances. However, what awaits her is a series of revelations and unexpected twists that promise to challenge her understanding of this extraordinary world.
Title: A Critique Rather Than a Review
Note: Initially, the translator did an exceptional job up until around Chapter 20, which is appreciated.
The review primarily focuses on the story's pacing. Here's a summary of key points:
- The protagonist, He Han, unknowingly accepts Ye Fan's child as his own, creating an unexpected development.
- Characters like Aunt Chen and her daughter Xiao Tang Jin play significant roles initially, but their presence becomes less prominent later.
- There are multiple subplots, but the main storyline seems to progress slowly, causing frustration for the reader.
Many argue that the "fluffiness" (romantic or sweet moments) feels forced, with unnecessary details bogging down the journey towards the desired connection. As the reader gets tantalizingly close, they often give up, feeling unsatisfied.
While the fact that the male lead, He Han, accepts the child even before realizing it's his, is a redeeming aspect, it feels unrealistic for him to accept a child he didn't father. This plot device is common in Chinese novels, but it doesn't necessarily resonate positively every time.
Lastly, the drama element, which is typical in such genre, has become monotonous due to the numerous similar stories the reviewer has encountered.
In conclusion, the reviewer identifies "Showbiz Novel" as not their preferred type, mainly because of the slow pacing and reliance on clichéd plot devices.
Indeed, it was an exhilarating experience catching up, and I must say, binge-watching it has been incredibly enjoyable. I'm completely hooked, unable to stop scrolling through each episode. Every scene is so captivating that I find myself eager to devour the next one without delay. It leaves me craving for more! I sincerely hope for regular updates – fingers crossed! ???
Bro you didn't say its a manhwa but d*mn I am getting excited to read it, thanks bro
Massive spoiler from a comment below from 3 years ago so be warned scrolling down. But don't hesitate and just give this novel a read if you enjoyed the author's other works like Ending Maker.
Hey Guys, I would like to ask where the chapter is, where the manhwa left off. I currently am at chapter 263 in the manhwa. Does anybody have information on where the novel continues?
I really want to kill that bastard Qi Yu. Every thing is perfect until this bastard came.
^ Just noticed I didn’t put spoiler tag on this * SPOILER ABOVE * just in caseAnywaysChapter 625 now, the story just doesn’t excite me… I just push through because on the topic said above ^…Its and interesting topic… but it’s not for me I guess. Second reincarnation had a pretty decent story and well grounded and well paced
Just finished reading and to tell the truth this is one of those smooth sailing story I've read and so far this is not as boring as I thought it would be. 8/10

An amazing story with a well fleshed out protagonist with brain.
