This is a nice book
I'm not a fan of this kind of wife-chasing story. There's too much misunderstanding that hurts, too much push and pull drama, and so on. But this novel strikes a good balance. It has enough drama to be engaging, but also enough resolution to allow for forgiveness after all the chasing. As a reader, I feel a sense of relief that the main character (MC) can forgive what the male lead (ML) did, just as the MC does. Sometimes, this trope ends up being too easy to forgive, or there's too much chasing that makes the reader sympathize more with the ML.
This novel, however, is well-crafted. The MC is stubborn enough to hold out, but eventually forgives, and the ML makes enough effort to earn that forgiveness. That’s what makes it work.

is this one of those novels where its good but the author is so h*rny he just writes about s*x later on cause i dont wanna read another one of those
1. The Protagonist is Female, like it says in the tags.
2. The FL is not stupid, she is relateable in a sense that doesn't needlessly do anything that is not beneficial to her.
3. I don't know who you're referencing here, but the FL is simply lazy and doesn't carry a strong conviction. (Which makes her stand out among all the other characters who all have purposes and goals and achievements.)
Very likely the person is not Nigerian, but I really wonder what it means in the author's language
I remember adding this novel and reading that it gets good later on and definitely good to read.
Probably an unpopular opinion here, but any book that has a system is usually just a disappointment.
