Wow! I am loving the twists and turns of this book, what do you think guys? this author is doing a great job.
Started well, seemed to be exciting and all around good but 633 chapters and no where. What book in the real world has 633 chapters…none. The chapters are more like a page in an actual book and the drag on and on has gotten old.
Adc should just uninstall at that point
The first part of the novel was highly engaging, with its captivating court intrigue and compelling character dynamics. The development of their relationship was nothing short of perfect, keeping me hooked. However, the second half, while still somewhat entertaining, failed to live up to the initial excitement. It felt like a separate entity from the first half, almost an extended epilogue with overly-sweet moments and hurried storytelling.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly when the book started to lose its luster – whether it was during their characters' intimate scenes, which I found off-putting, or around the fall of Nanjing, which coincidentally occurred around the same time. Regardless, the novel's shine seemed to fade, turning repetitive.
Overall, it was a decent read, but not without its flaws. I would give it a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.
No problem
i was a bit late in actually starting but honestly, it's a good novel to jus read and waste time with. Im laughin my ass off even though the mc is a bit naive of his own strength he very quickly understands "huh maybe im weird" every so often. read it to waste time and laugh!
Money grubber MCs are my favourite frfr relatable
i remember reading this before the great reset and having like 20 chapters left till the end. then i completely forgot about it. might as well reread the whole thing now
Why the fvck the synopsis is boring as hell? I don't know what to even expect on this novel, just the synopsis makes me bored to death! I even contemplate about life how boring it can be. There's no conflict, no ambition, no struggle? This novel sounds like some communist propaganda.
Why does this give yoai vibes any one who completed this can u tell me if this is yoai or not
Just finished reading and it wasn’t too bad, but not overwhelming good by any definition. There are a few problems such as Zhange Che being extremely racist even though he’s from the modern day. Its never really explored why he morally doesn’t care about killing people from other countries and he just seems to be fine with it, which doesn’t make much sense considering his lack of experience. I would only read if you’re bored and want something to just read and learn how the world works inside this novel, not suitable for a long term time investment. The ending also sucks because its suddenly, and rather awfully cut short with no explanation from the author, who obviously had their own issue to deal with. Overall a great potential story that really failed to make itself shine.
