A pretty boring and cliched novel. I might have liked it 10 years ago. But with so many better choices available, this is a big nope.
But this got chosen over Transcendant Dawn
So I'm questioning the reader's tastes and my tastes...
I really enjoy this story. However, what I like about this story might be what turns people off from this story. My favorite thing is that this story is so nonsensical with a barely functioning plot. It is really similar to "Am I a God" which is a webnovel that had its translations finished a while ago. If you enjoy the dynamic between Zhao Yao and his cats from "Am I a God", then you would probably enjoy this novel. For those who didn't read "Am I a God", another story that I can compare this to is Konosuba. Specifically the character dynamic. Kazuma and Aqua's dynamic is similar to the dynamic between the MC and his great grandma. However, Konosuba does it a lot better. Other things that I enjoyed was the extremely raunchy humor. Dick jokes, pron jokes and many other slapstick kind of humors made me enjoy it. It wouldn't be a stretch to call this novel a sort of parody on novels that are about cultivation or whatnot happening in modern times. what is expected from those modern ones shouldn't be expected in this novel. I also saw very different views on this novel by people so I think if you can't get into it by the 22 chapter, then you should just drop it.
overrated trash. skips a whole lot of possible content (plot, world-building and character development of MC) while jumping straight into an uninspired high school rom-com setting where the *mysterious* MC can bully idiot rich kids
Like many before me, this author is shamelessly reviewing his own work. The story isn't perfect and it isn't boring either. Like many xanxia or eastern fantasy novels, you might find some cliche here and there or mistakes. Anyway, give it a try and you might end up liking it.

Great fantasy story full of mages and magic using beings. The Author does a fantastic job of combining a fairly complex magic system with a pretty simple concept of power levels. The Author uses this to write battles with realistic (in terms of the world) twists and out comes. When the MC and an antagonist come to blows and their of “equal strength” the MC does win just because of some “MC plot-armor bullsh*t” it’s because the Author laid down the groundwork for why he learned and obtained the skills and abilities to pull through. Even when someone does manage to seemingly pull some solution out of their a*s it’s because the Author left the information and reasonings behind in primitive chapters that were (mostly on purpose) meant to be overlooked as unimportant.Characters and character development is always one of the most important things to look at for in any story. In this both aspects are pretty straightforward. The MC has a lot of dark sh*t happen to him in the prologue & start of the series and that leaves us with a very untrusting and paranoid protagonist who is also severely protective of those who are are close to him. The main theme of the story is that the MC is going about his life while gaining strength in various ways in order be able to protect those he cares about and fulfill a few spoiler related goals while his interactions with those around both help and hinder him from slowly opening up to others. The Author does a good job of providing scenarios that that the MC has to contemplate while balancing his law of the jungle and his moral/human side in order to survive both physically and mentally. This series is not a “black & white” story by any means and would recommend it to any high fantasy loving reader.

Super rushed with no plot whatsoever , it feels like reading a roughly skimmed journalThere is no connection to the characters or the world,It feels like reading a bunch of random words and it makes no sense.In conclusion I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
