Great translation and update speed. Good story plot BUT ruined by character development of the MC and the monotonous tone of villains.THE AMOUNT OF RACISM IS TOO DAMN HIGH. I've read until c102 and check if the CHINESE-OPPRESSED-BOOHOOO-BALLYHOOO dies down but NAH. Instead, it rehashes the same chinamanangrycozuracist to chinamanwinsbecozauthorsaysso scenario.I'm not going to stroke the author's ego by reading this book further. This book is probably going to be enshrined in the altar of China-Numbah-Wan. Prolly be added to Mao's red book. LOL.HENCE, the book is hereby sentenced to the burner. Dropped, burned and forgotten.
Till Ch 48, the story is quite nice. Its full of slice of life elements. MC has just begin cultivating without any achievements yet. Dragon King and his wife are the most nicest characters possible, and they live a very very ordinary life. The novel is very good and definitely worth a read.

at the beginning the story was slow, riddled with grammatical errors but recently the story writing and characters are being slowly developing my heart is racing in anticipation to new chapters
Editor review. Hey guys, glad to see this novel finally published :D It's been in the works for over a year now, but due to a few changes of translators, it'll been constantly delayed. When we lost the first translator, I specifically requested to stay on this project because I enjoy the story so much. So, obviously, I'm a big fan of the story. The MC has some heartfelt moments, some hilarious moments (the 'Spicy.' in one of the early chapters killed me), and some smart/scheming moments, which is pretty much all I ask for in a novel :DIf you have any questions or notice any errors or inconsistencies (they're inevitable, especially with a change of translator midway), feel free to reply here or message me on Discord. The issue with names here... Is that qidian's translator didn't go through any of the previous chapters. None. Which means the only ones to read prior to this, are fan translations that have always been consistent. This is not consistent. By changing the names you are leaving every reader to guess and piece together which names got changed to what, why certain names got changed in the way they did (ah qi to seven. You left out half the name. But Su Clan's seven every single instance instead is so much better, right?) and the fact that you also changed the names of all the stages of cultivation.Essentially, I can't help but feel the people who made these decisions only did it to 'individualize' this trans from fan ones. That is pathetic reason that only serves to confuse readers. Not a single damn was given about continuity, ease of transition for readers since qidian's full time translators will outpace fan ones that are doing it running only on generous donations AND Qidian did not bother translating any of the previous chapters so new readers could go and start from scratch to actually not be forced to google unofficial translations threatened with legal action. Hm. So... What I'm getting from this is Qidian WANTS us to read unofficial translations instead of their own more contrived, and due to internal company political issues, lesser quality translations.Either go back and have a separate, smaller team make up the gap between chapter 1 and 138, or change your terminology to be more familiar to the reader while there are still less than 50 chapters to edit. That would be the proper way to do this, and despite all past actions I have hope for a good solution that I contributed to or a better one I didn't think of.

The dialogue in this novel is what makes it sing. Let me just quote a few lines because they're too good not to share. "You short little—" *punch* "Take me back." That's it. That's the entire conversation. Xia Miao threatens to stomp on his foot, he picks her up like a baby, she punches him for calling her short, and then she just orders him to take her back. The economy of dialogue here is perfect. No exposition, no explanation—just two people who know each other so well that their entire relationship is communicated through action and one-liners. And Lu Yan's voice! The way he stammers and blushes and tries to play it cool but fails every time. "F—Fifty-six points?" He's a terrifying murder ghost who can probably kill anyone in this game, but ask him about his romantic progress and he's sweating cold sweat. The contrast between his creepy chuckling ("hee-hee") and his complete inability to handle simple romantic situations is hilarious. But the real standout is how natural their banter feels. They're not reciting lines from a romance novel—they're two people who are awkward around each other, who pretend not to care, who use humor to deflect from their true feelings. When Xia Miao says "Be a good boy and let's get some sleep" and kisses his cheek, that's not dialogue—that's a declaration of war on his heart. And Lu Yan? He's completely defeated.
