i read 200 and its like Rebirth of the urban old man but its written differently, with more of a touch of slice of life. mc is much more emotional and human really, very good for this kind of cliché novel
.
now i've read 430 and i have to say this is much better than RotUIC, it's more colorfull, more emotional, faceslapping is more intricate. although it's slowpaced, it's really packed. there is some little romance.
this one seems to have real effort from the author; unexpected from this kind of novel.
below somebody said that RotUIC (urban) was better so i read that one first and now i wish i had not. mc on that novel is completely sh*tty compared to this one.
I can no longer handle it; the pace is just too brisk. The story jumps quickly from discussing her past life, which remains largely unexplained, to suddenly revealing she becomes a renowned masked singer and songwriter with instant hit songs. In another chapter, she seeks an 'average' individual for a blind date through an introduction, and while she's initially pleased with him, she asks him to wait until her current engagement is over. However, these events feel crammed into one chapter.
The 'average' guy's character is confusing – he claims to be a programmer but seems to have ulterior motives, like a typical wealthy protagonist pretending to be simple. Despite their brief encounter, his transformation seems forced to meet the MC's specific expectations. The main character, who should be strong, falls for this easily, praising him without much development. The fact that the supporting character isn't supposed to marry until she's older doesn't stop her from announcing a 10-15 year waiting period, despite asking him to wait initially. His reaction to this news is bewildered.
With only around 20 chapters read, I'm still trying to grasp how the MC navigates the original character's family dynamics. The premise was intriguing, but the execution feels rushed and inconsistent. I seriously doubt the "slow romance" label; this novel appears to be anything but slow-paced.
Does anyone know of any similar sports novels?
Its been a while no update?
Bros too lazy to write fight scenes lol
Thou Lord hath answered with an update!
Is this good?
Is it done?
100+ chapters in.. when will the translator stop randomly writing "only" in the middle with no context...it always ruins the mood whenever I start reading it deeply
It sure is the same story with 'My Wife Slaps People in the Face Online Daily' loool even with the grandma acupuncture scene was exactly the same just changed the character names which the FL is Gu Mang and the ML is Lu Chengzhou.
more chap please!
First review! Just started reading this recently, the work is still quite new and early but the premise is already quite interesting to be honest.
but so far, I've liked what I've seen. I'm leaving this here hoping the author won't drop this work and continue to progress .
it's a shame promising works like this don't get enough like light and attention. but keep it up!
