Give it time, literally all your complaints are addressed by like chapter 120, he gets multiple male helpers and there is a lot of character progression. This is not a story where all your character progression is in the first 20 chapters, he continually learns and grows as time and events happen. I am doing a re read and yes, he is a bit annoying in the beginning but this isn't a 100-200 ch story, there is definite progression in the characters and world(s) as you go.

Anyone else feel the unnecessary information coming in? I'm getting sleepy just reading blocks of details that doesn't really piques my interest. I'm a slow reader so I'd like it if my imagination isn't used on imagining useless stuff. Seems to me the author likes to brag about detail rather than the story.
