I've now red this book until chapter 44 and it has not betrayed my expactations from the last book. Very good work author!!
Ooh boy after reading it for like 50+ chapter it's a trash where mc is like f necromancer and go with melee just wow I am going to drop it
Simply wast of time[img=faceslap]
I almost never leave reviews, but this novel needs one. First off, let me state that this novel is by far the best written I have encountered here. By the standards of Webnovel, it is a diamond. It is so good however, that I’m not holding it to those, I am going to hold it to the standards of actual published books. If you judge it as such, unfortunately, the novel falls short. Let’s start with my number one issue: PACING. The novel is slow, tediously, almost painfully, slow. I know some novels start off this way and then pick up the pace but with this one, I feel that is highly unlikely, mainly due to mthe writing style. The author apparently feels the uncontrollable urge to explain absolutely everything, no matter how meaningless. Everything, from the mechanics of the weather to how the sewage system works is expounded upon with excruciating detail, all while letting us know the mc’s feelings about it, and the feelings of the people who built the sewers as well. At the rate this is going, the icecaps will finish melting before Shang gets anything done. Exposition is like sugar on a cake, too little and the cake is bland, too much and it’s inedible. Info dumps can be useful tools when used properly, in faster paced novels they are meant to get the worldbuilding out of the way so you can get to the action faster, a bit crude, but it works. Another way of exposition (and the best way in my opinion) is to spread bits of information about the world as the character explores it making it feel more natural and engrossing. The operative word being “bits” of information, you can even alternate these methods if you want, along your story. What you should not do however is make every ”bit” an infodump as the action of the story stagnates. Overall, the author is good writer, his style reminds me of Robert Jordan’s, and most people would agree he was a great writer. Unfortunately I cannot keep reading this novel, for the same reason I never finished the Wheel of Time, the same reason Jordan died before he finished writing his epic tale, the pacing is glacial.

Started strong, dropped of slowly, came back alright, and shot itself in the head
I'll change my review once it comes out, but I have expectations for this. Chances are that among all the other rubbish you can find gem. I hope this novel won't disappoint me and everyone else.
The idea is a bit old, but you don't really see monk centered novels here on Qidian, so that's a first.
This book is the best from this trail read, hope it gets selected, webnovel you are doing a good work just select some more good novels like this.
Man why did i discover this gem of a novel so soon i wanted to take my sweet time with this but alas now i have to wait for chapters like a peasant.
So... this was a thing huh. There are so many things wrong with this novel that it's unreadable for me. Unfortunately, compared to the other choice I voted for this one back then. What a horrible disappointment.
It's boring. Just another self-mast*rbatory story for the author. Funny enough, at the end of chapter 10, MC claims to finally be an "alpha". That's one of the saddest thing you would have expected a delusional beta to say; try harder lol. MC is impulsive and often shouts/yells (everytime he talks, it's "cried") instead of just speaking?
Plot holes and plot armour galore in here.
-People who plays the game never need mental rest (needs no sleep), and do not suffer from mental exhaustion.
-Game servers only open for 8h every night...? Why the hell would the latest, most popular game do that? Servers should be open 24h so anyone can play whenever they want, instead of being forced to wait until 10pm to play the dumb game. I wouldn't have bothered to buy the game if this was one of the rules for it.
-The story development is non-existent. Story is flat, dull and bland. There's no fight scenes at all, just [monster name] appeared, MC gets exp + loot, "nice". Not even a description of the monster, i guess author makes up for it with literal monster names so you even know what he just fought. Also no one grind 500 mobs in the area, so MC was the first to trigger that mini-boss? Complete BS. If you can do something, pretty sure another lucky idiot out there would have also stumbled upon it. You're not *that* special, boy.
-Unbalanced character abilities in creation screen, human was obviously the class to go to since they have so much more "perks". Also the "perks" are pretty unrealistic, it's as if there were only 100+ players playing this game.
-Unnecessary info dropping. I know there's a lot of game stuff author want to clear out of the way first, but that was so dry and unnecessary that I just skipped pass it all. I don't need to know about the colour codes of armour etc. No point telling us gold = legendary, it's not like we're seeing one soon and it could be introduced better. Like he can see the stats of this awesome new sword and see it so beefed up and go "Woah! This is some BS legendary stats!" That would have gotten the gold = legendary well across too.
-Unrealistic basketball match. There's so many wrong there that I just don't want to comprehend. It was also as boring as the rest of the novel. I doubt the author knows anything about the rules of basketball.
-I also don't think author knows how people works. All I see here is robots pretending to be human and cardboard people.
Unfortunately, this story is mediocre. It is a good sleeping aid though.

Read this on Wuxiaworld not opinion fact!
I don't normally do reviews but I just had to review this because while there aren't any issues with the novel itself or the translation quality. There is a major issue in that text has been removed from this one, text surrounded by brackets [example]. So starting with chapter five information that relates to skills and objects start appearing in those brackets, which can be easily checked. So you don't get the full experience of the novel on Qidian, to get the full translation in terms of quality read on Wuxiaworld. At least until they include missing text.
TL;DR Text has been removed here, it's complete on Wuxiaworld
