Wow~ It's seems intriguing. You caught interest. Can't wait to read more. You're doing great job Author. More chapters please. ( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧
While I'd like to give it 4 stars, unfortunately, I can't do things like 4.5 or 3.5. So things that are a bit above 4 stars are averaged down to just 4, and things that are only a little bit below 4 are stuck all the way down at 3.Writing Quality: The actual writing only has minor grammatical errors and very few mistakes, overall sitting at a much higher standard than what is typically found on the website. Though that's not to say it doesn't have an excessive amount of repetitive word choices, strange sentence construction, and unnatural dialogue. Things that simply don't make much sense are often stated as well. The author also tends to over-use exposition, especially through character dialogue that has no sensible context for being said. The author tends to over-repeat details, such as how strong or rare guardians are, through the use of characters that are all already completely aware of this, though I will more than admit my own work has this flaw as well. I will note they have exceptional use of unique wording. Many people still like the writing, so don't let my review deter you.Stability of Updates: Pretty good, the fact that someone asked if the author was okay in a review due to a mere 3-day gap in releases should tell you a lot.Story Development: Meh, it develops as expected, there are plenty of tired cliches and obvious set-ups/outcomes. It's not bad, I want to make that clear, just nothing too special. Enough background information is explained (if not overly, and forcibly, explained at times) to make most of the writing choices seem logical. The pacing is fairly good as well, taking time to set up characters and setting before diving into the meat of the story.Character Design: Pretty good, the amount of random expository dumps characters give in almost completely unrelated sentences can throw off their believability, and a lot of their dialogue is clunky or weirdly constructed. A lot of their motivations and decisions are explained well enough to make sense, and they don't often behave in unbelievable or overly stupid ways for the sake of the plot. The main thing making them feel like characters rather than people, is the sheer amount of seemingly forced, almost completely unnecessary exposition the author often has them spout through dialogue rather than utilizing a narrative third-person perspective. There are also a lot of 'fake smart' moments in this book, where characters (typically the protagonist) suddenly gain insight into something with no actual setup that would even remotely lead them to the conclusion they're portrayed as smart for reaching. For example; The characters are given time to look through a shop-like system in their menu and buy items before heading into the tutorial, and the MC somehow determines that they're doing this to test how they handle pressure, off of absolutely nothing but the fact they were allowed to buy items before heading into combat, and this is portrayed as a moment of the main character being extremely deductive and intelligent. It comes off as insincere.World Background: Again, my biggest issue here is that the author occasionally over-does the exposition. The world is fleshed out as much as it needs to be for the story and is handled fairly believably. Though a few aspects come off as illogical, such as the story noting 'governing' alongside technology, and etc improving due to people entering monoliths, when there really isn't any logical way this would happen, unless the monoliths are dropping books on governance from superior alien civilizations or the like.Overall worth a read, I know most people here don't have very stringent standards for writing quality, and this is certainly an above-average novel on the sight. So go nuts!
I had a lot of interest from the beginning and have so far read to chapter 45 and regretfully I am disappointed. The story is potentially a winner however it is packed with cliches, inconsistencies, and a MC who is simply full of himself. The MC often states he is a demon who promotes justice and punishes evil, which straight away is a conundrum of terms, however he just doesn’t make sense. His regular use of charging people for his attention, time or help has some merit however it just becomes overused and forced, almost to the extent I feel the author uses it to fill his word quota rather than think of an innovative response which could be used to develop the character of the MC in another manner, a lost opportunity.Overall, and remembering this is only 45 chapters in, I find that story has a good idea, however it simply needs more work and much more thought into how it should develop.
The plot of the story is developing get well. I appreciate the author. The female lead is also very cool and ruthless to her enemies. I have read many novels . All of them had more than 200 chapters. I just liked the description of the book, so I read it. I didn't expect it to be this good. I love the fact that the female leads eyes are amethyst coloured.
очень классное произведение очень надеюсь продолжения не слушайте тех кто спамит плохие отзывы ??????????????????????
Really good to read. Downside doesn’t update often. I do recommend to read. I enjoyed the story so far and am caught up with the author. Just wish it would update more often.
The overpowered system is not happy with the competition! He eats fish, yum! Yes, he ate your story fish system!!! “Pew”Actually thanks for the delicious story. This was not an advertisement for overpowered system!
I love the story, the mc and how is all told. The reading is easy and clear without superflous words. i really need more chapters. This is a must have in your library.
This novel is essentially garbage, or as I call it personally, unhealthy fried food. It is tasty though (Pun intended). We know that this novel follows the story of a young man who transmigrated or reincarnated into a cultivation based world with a system that trains him to become the god of culinary. Although so far we haven't seen a good rival for the main character (Bu Fang), the mouth-watering foods in this novel will still make you drool. Another cool part about this novel is the equipments and tecniques since Bu Fang is a chef, his culinary god system is unique and the rewards it offers are also fun and creative. Other than that, the plot is very repetitive and boring. This is somewhat of a different version of Library of Heaven's Path (LoHP for short), which the difference of the MCs both specializing in different fields- One in essentially everything and one in cooking. One thing I do want to point out is that the novel introduces Bu Fang as a person from Earth who transmigrated into a different world, a world whereby people could cultivate (You can see this from the synopsis so I won't say much). However, I notice that it is becoming a trend in these types of "Isekai" novels to introduce the MCs into another world, despite the irrelevance of the fact that came from Earth. In this novel, the fact that Bu Fang came from Earth doesn't really play a role in what he thinks and does, since he came from Earth, we would expect his way of thinking to be influenced by Earth's culture and thus act and think differently from the others. Although the gimmick of making "Isekai" MCs bring an item to the world they transmigrated into is cliche and overused by now, I'd rather Bu Fang retain and show something that makes him stand out. Most importantly of all, we haven't really heard much about Bu Fang's backstory since we start off with him already being in a different world. Honestly, I would rather he be "non-isekai" than "isekai".Bu Fang is a boring person, we never know what's he thinking because he always remains nonchalant and shows a poker-face. Other than his will-power to withstand the charms of drop-dead gorgeous women and indifference to people of higher statuses, he really does not have anything to boot. Read it if you have nothing else to read. It is a waste of time though, I wouldn't recommend spending spirit stones on this (I did and I regretted it), just read it on another site to byspass the stupid paywall.Gourmet from another world offers you: Feel-good imaginary descriptions of various mouth-watering foods, beautiful women (Stomachs tamed by the Bu Fang), cool equipment and techniques.
