I've read many xianxias and this one is a soft spot for me, to the point I went to mtl to read it, but it's really not great from a critical perspective. Also, there's two stories, where the first ends at like chapter 3800 or so — the 2nd sucks.
The start, for me, is pretty boring. But it gets much better after ascending from the lower realm. There is a very unique plot after the middle of the development of the story which is what mainly makes me like this novel.
The harem isn't the best, there are only 3 relevant wives while the list is much bigger than that, and those that aren't relevant simply get abandoned — even though they get carried around. Although, those 3 wives get developed quite well and you either love or hate them.
The main problem of the novel for me is that aside from Ling Han, the characters have a personality that is too "forced". You will have someone who lived for trillions of years but still act like a mischievous child, for example.
Anyway, I still recommend

At first, I thought it'd be like those astral pet store and other store-type system books, but it was just a trashy face-slapping story. Honestly, don't bother reading it. Total waste of time.
Well, if you enjoy a story with a main character who is downrod and everybody’s against them, family hates them and all the races hate them and the system. I hate them and Omeal my this is your type of book if you want a normal story no sorry forget it. This is WebNovel, they all write them like that so if you want, everybody gets the main character and him to be a weakling go forward if you like strong main characters which the freaking title would give you that idea that he would be OP and smart and crew, but it’s not true. I don’t read the book.
Really incredible novel. This tops off the most of xianxia novels because of comedy, uniqueness, and the style. From a ****** mistake to a hilarious continuation throughout the story, surely, this is a must read for readers who are sick and tired of cliches!

At this point the voting system here is absolutely pointless. What does even voting do if they already have novels lined up to get picked? Was it the illusion of choice? Webnovel standards now have really dropped.

It was a story I fell in love . But the familiar relationship was too week in this story . The MC kept forgetting that his mom and aunt are also his family not only lovers ..... After the harem messed up chapter the story felt forced . As if the MC is taking wrong decisions but the plot is helping to smooth things out . I had to drop by chapter 429 Sadly . Bcz it just ruind the mood of the story by then . Could’ve gone in so many different directions . But thank for the good story nevertheless .
