It is a very interesting story , but overly long. And the ss are pricy. Also zi has a beyond spoilt character. I really was enjoying the story until demands for ss. I feel with a story that takes so long to get to important details, it should be cheaper so one can enjoy the story

Jiang Yunzhi's internal monologue is absolutely my favorite thing about this book. Let me just dump some quotes because I can't contain myself: "If you don't use your mouth, you might as well donate it to someone in need." — This is her literally talking about herself. She's about to go beg her husband for a favor and she already knows she's going to mess it up. "Husband and wife. Superficial husband and wife." — The way she blurts out "husband and wife" and then immediately adds "superficial" is comedy gold. It's the verbal equivalent of someone saying "I'm fine" while on fire. And then the masterpiece: "My husband is wise and martial, very gentlemanly, has a good appearance and a good temper, he won't deal with someone casually." She's saying this on the phone to her mother while Yan Wenjing is standing right behind her. The dramatic irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife. But the dialogue isn't just funny — it's revealing. Every character has a distinct voice. Jiang Lulu's entitled prattle ("Brother-in-law, compared to my sister, I'm more suitable for you!") makes you want to scream. Yan Wenjing's sparse, cutting remarks ("What's fake is fake, and it can never become real") carry weight because he doesn't waste words. And Jiang Yunzhi's rapid-fire internal commentary gives us access to her true thoughts, which are always sharper and funnier than what she says out loud. The author's narrative voice is also doing a lot of work here. Lines like "Assistant Xu complained in his heart. She couldn't even compare to those few small internet celebrities in Huaicheng" — that's the narrator winking at the reader. It creates this sense of shared understanding between the author and whoever's reading.
the female lead is so pathetic
'On Her Daddy's Bed' is a book for keeps. from the winding plot to the lusting Axel and Hazel, I see a fine love story playing out in the end. I'll have this saved for always.
