one of the best novels, I haw reed it x2
I'm intrigued by this novel as it's being taken up by Mad Panda and Novice Translations, who previously worked on "My Husband With Scholar Syndrome." Since I haven't finished reading the translated chapters, I'll update my review once I've completed the book.
What caught my attention is the FL's loving and supportive family. Initially, I assumed FL was abandoned by her parents, but it turns out she was actually kidnapped by human traffickers, which explains her isolated life in the mountains. The story revolves around exorcism and supernatural elements, with FL showcasing exceptional talent as a ghost hunter and ML as a brilliant military figure.

There's a sequel focusing on FL's brother's romantic adventures, but I haven't come across it being translated yet.
The title of the series is "我的女友是只猫" (translated to "My Girlfriend is a Cat" via Google Translate), and in the sequel, Chen Yang (FL's brother) is a policeman. FL gets cursed, transforming into a cat most of the time but occasionally reverting to her human form, but she loses control over the transformation process.
As an avid reader, I found "NEET's Unexpected Love Encounter" to be a delightful blend of humor and relatable drama. The protagonist's transformation from a disillusioned NEET to a suave dating sim master captivated my interest. The witty banter and unexpected romantic twists made for a refreshing read, keeping me hooked till the very end. It successfully tapped into the nostalgia for gaming culture while exploring the complexities of modern relationships. A must-read for anyone who enjoys a light-hearted, yet thought-provoking tale.

Solid novel with excellent writing. The direction isn't one that most people on WN would enjoy, but if you have a few brain cells to enjoy a story, do give this a read. I enjoy this one more than his other works. And tbh, I would much prefer if mc didn't have a harem and ends up with... let's say best girl, but that is up to the author. I'm sure I'll enjoy the story anyways. Keep up the great work!

what the hell? the world-building is quite decent. the update's stability is also decent. there's nothing unique here. however, I like the title, so I will give it five stars.
