AGodAmongMen
What a delightful read! I appreciate that the main character (MC) isn't overly powerful and doesn't breeze through the unfamiliar setting effortlessly. Initially, she's cautious due to the uncertainty and lack of trust. Her interactions with palace officials are portrayed realistically, showing her struggling to navigate the social norms.
There have been criticisms regarding the lack of confrontations, but it's important to remember that she's still adjusting in the early chapters. Unlike other stories where the protagonist has an unfair advantage or extraordinary abilities, she starts as a genuine cannon fodder character – a young, powerless teenager. Her cheat lies in knowing bits from a novel she once read, which she employs through determination, quick thinking, or even audacity. Unlike characters from that era, she prioritizes survival over maintaining a pristine reputation.
As the story progresses, the face-slapping scenes do unfold later on, and I found them satisfying without becoming gratuitous. The author cleverly incorporates the MC's self-awareness as cannon fodder, whether she's lamenting her fate or planning to act accordingly. Currently, at chapter 123, I'm thoroughly enjoying the narrative and believe it's a strong start.
Original manga was full of plot holes but this work was good
Thanks for the great reply I think I’ll be reading this next as I stack up SS chaps haha ??
I just finished that novel and i wanted to start this one and find the end of the novel as much as hilarious as his beginning and development phase I too recommend that novel for those who like a novel with some comedy bit not exaggerated one
It only has 662 chapters everything after that is a after story
oh god. I've never seen a novel has this many side stories. any idea when the side stories also completes. I plan to read everything at once.
the title is a dead giveaway
I recommend
you lack taste
Don't think much , just go for the read ?
76 chapters and there's barely any progress. You made a very interesting approach to transmigrate the MC at that old age but for me it was a stupid idea. The main point of cultivation novels was to set a level of strength to each cultivation. Since the author has put the MC as 20 he at least should have the ability to catch up to geniuses from the first couple of chapters to show that his talents are real not just some words the author came up with. The setting of the first problem was great for the MC but the MC not only has the MC improved only a slight he is now attaining one problem after another. Ridicule for the MC is fine but when you make the MC so small it diminishes the value of the MC. Do you really think that all the readers would read all this crappy story of yours just to reach the part where he can now be strong?
it is on my list but sadly that list is ever growing
