Okay I'll really honest, I'm not the the type of reader that likes reading Chinese names because they're gonna be very forgettable to me, so I'm sorry if I offended you.
But, even if the names are Chinese I can say that it's really cool
i thaught i would enjoy this book due to how mc powers up being similar to a phew books i rather enjoy and also the added extra of maids caught my intrest however i have to say that the mindset of the mc is so bad a complete and uter beta which i do not enjoy reading. i could of potentially accepted this fact and continued reading the story for the 20 chapters however the inconsistencys with the mcs attributes just pushed me over the edge and as such i shall not read any further to save my sanity. however i can see that this will potenially be a good book however it is not for me.
This is an interesting story. It, however, is moved mostly like dialogue with little description in it. Personally, I would like it described to me and not coming out and telling me directly.
For example: In the first chapter, why do the maids think the young master is drunk? Could it be the smell? The author could elaborate on that and improve the story.
I do hope that the author continues this.
I love the way the main characters are described, the writing in this story is immaculate. Can't wait for more [img=recommend][img=recommend]
Shamelessly rating my own work. Please leave a review either good or bad, I will learn to write better when handling my next works. thanks so much for reading my first novel.
OK. So my review may be a bit biased since this is the only book I come to this site to read, HOWEVER I had to make a second review due to my love for the world Winter creates growing stronger and stronger with each page.
Writing Quality: There may be a few errors here and there, however, when it comes to wordplay she can't be beat! I love the way she uses different sound effects and examples so her words cannot only be visualized, but also felt, smelt, and heard.
Story Development: AAAH. ITS AMAZING! Like, it's so interesting how you THINK something will happen but it doesn't turn out that way. Like at first I thought.. "Ok, so she's going to go on an adventure to get her powers or something" WRONG. "Is *bleep* going to meet *bleep* and form some type of team to defeat *bleep* WRONG. Not only that, but the plot unfolds vividly and the world grows bigger as more questions emerge.
Character Design: EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. IS. DIFFERENT. Personality, clothes, hair, likes and dislikes, you get them all! she points pictures of how characters look from their eyes to their shoes. The way she explains how the people are feeling without actually saying what they're feeling is like genius. You'll literally fall in love or get interested with one or many of the characters in this book, I guarantee it.
Updating Stability: At first it was fine... But she kinda stopped, she explained in the disc that she was doing uni stuff but she's started to pick it up again. I hope she continues with the usual 1-2 chaps with bonus chaps via powerstones.
World Background: OK, NOW IF YOU SKIPPED EVERYTHING ELSE, READ THIS!!! The world building alone, is probably the best reason to read this book. why? She does an exciting job at creating multiple stories within one story. Everyone came from somewhere, things happen for specific reasons, nothing gets
left-out, and they're specifics that get explained in detail. Even the magic in the book just didn't come out of nowhere, it came from *bleeeeeeeep* like that's so freaking creative!
Conclusion: This book, honestly could be split into like several as all of the characters are intriguing and could go off on their own adventures and it would still be interesting. Her action scenes are vivid, she enters comedy for relief, a bit of romance all with a lot of blood and gore that catches my eye and makes me gag!
If you want a story that's DEFINETLY going to be made into an anime or manga one day, start reading now so you can say that you were one of the first to enjoy this incredible adventure.
p.s. My favorite character is Saori because I feel sad that she became *bleep* after her *bleep* died and she's so loveable! (she's the pink-haired girl in the book cover).
MC is very stupid and hypocritical which hurts the story massively. -spots a SSS technique, doesn't want to learn it because it might be hard to cultivate while at this point has a system that speeds up cultivation and is making decent money to buy materials to help cultivate even faster, he doesn't understand the rarity of SSS techniques even though the dude has lived in the world for over 20 years and received an education there, I assume he believes that all high tier cultivation techniques are common or something.-refuses any help from his online GF but will happily receive a SECOND SSS technique from a literal stranger he met twice at that point. -believes initially that the FL is stupid/crazy when she purposely does a bad deal to give him money for free by wanting to buy a 20 dollar sword for 10k from him. He is also very antagonistic towards her while she has been relatively kind to him overall. -goes on a spiel about status, power, money doesn't matter for love to encourage a fellow teacher to get a gf but actively refuses to meet his online gf due to her being way stronger then him.
I haven't read all the chapters yet but this story is defenitly interesting and would recommend it from what I have read so far but I know nothing about the what I haven't read.
I like the novel
If you read this for its tags, prepare to get roasted. This book is a parody of web novel cliches, and I've been laughing as much as I'm questioning my taste in books. The mc is intelligent at the start for once, which is nice as well. However... he also makes poor decisions imo. At least they're thought out. We'll see who's right as the story progresses
