Still one of my favorite stories. I look for updates daily and swear I’ll let them pile up so I can read a bunch at once. But I don’t have the self control, haha, I always end up reading it one chapter at a time.
The nightclub scene is CINEMATIC. I mean it. The author booked out an entire venue, turned off ALL the music, and had muscular alpha dancers performing what are essentially strip routines in complete silence. Xiao Yu is sitting in a booth holding his cat, squinting his fox eyes, watching these guys twist and pose without any sound effects to distract from how vulgar it all is. The text literally says "without the sound effects, their every move seemed like a vulgar borderline dance." This is such a specific, vivid image — a dark club, no music, just the visual of alpha dancers trying to impress one omega, and a very jealous cat sitting on the omega's lap. But the scene that really lives in my head is the one back at the apartment. The warm lights switched to sleep mode, casting a dim and ambiguous atmosphere. Leon — in his alpha form, naked, tattooed, muscular — is kneeling beside the bed warming Xiao Yu's cold legs against his chest. The text describes it as a "reverent posture as if in worship." His cold brows lower, his tail is lashing irritably somewhere, and he's just... tending to this fragile omega like he's the most precious thing in the world. The orange scent fading as Xiao Yu sleeps peacefully, filled with a sense of security. It's so intimate and domestic and Leon doesn't even realize he's doing it. Then he transforms back into a cat and pads off to the kitchen to make hangover tea. The transition from fierce tiger-alpha-warming-legs to determined soldier-cat-with-a-paper-cup is absurdly cute. The author really understands how to shift tones between scenes — from charged and sensual to cozy and domestic in the span of a few paragraphs.
Great Book, I couldn't put it down. A little disappointed that it's advertised as 1 completed story, but then have to purchase the second part to it? That's alot of money already spent, and literally have to pay it again?
OMG!!! Great work love the story, is just an amazing book 1 & 2. Can't wait to start reading book 3.
