This story of amazing. In fact it's so good, I'm seriously worried the author won't be able to maintain the quality for long, and these web novels all need several hundred chapters to really show their writers flaws.
Good amounts of steampunk, lovecraft horror, and humor. The pacing is great. The mysticism scenes are obscure enough to keep the element of mystery and uncertainty, but still concrete enough to feel like there's something there.
One of my favorite parts of the story so far is that humans wielding supernatural power causes them to start hearing voices and increasingly likely to go insane. I think it's an excellent balance to typical cultivation novels, where the conflict basically revolves around ruthless greed.
The other favorite part is probably the little sister. The author better not let anything bad happen to her. Wait, does that make me a vicarious siscon!? No it's not like that I swear!
Well, my review is based only on the free chapters since I was not fond of it very much.
Grammar and writing are very good and the side characters don't look plain, so you don't have to worry about it.
What bothered me was the mc's decisions and the novel's pace.
MC's decision: he seems to lack normal life "intuition" since he almost get killed because he was an idiot.
The novel's pace: we didn't find anything relevant about the world, since the MC stayed in the same place killing useless beasts which improved him at snail pace. I would understand if he wasn't improving that much in 40 chapters if we were getting good information about the world or an info dump but we got nothing. The only thing we know is all the basics: kill a monster and he drops experience.
World-building: I have no comments since there is none, we know nothing about the world besides the same repetitive thing "monster spawning on earth".
Analyzing only the free chapters, I can't give you a reason to choose this novel to read. There isn't something special/different about it, it's the same repetitive thing you can find in any other novel.
If your intuition says "it is good I wanna pay for the chapters and find out". Do it, you may have a surprise and this may be the best novel you've ever read.
I liked the story. First I will talk about the things I liked, then I will talk about the shortcomings.The characters are well thought out. -The world background has an interesting and understandable layout.-The features of the system are well thought out and easy to understand. -The battle scenes are satisfactorily descriptive.Here are the points that I find missing.-It's a well thought out novel, but overall I found it a bit lacking in depth. Although mc has a painful and difficult past and says he can't trust people, he doesn't quite fit in.From my point of view, it would be more reasonable for a person who has been so hurt and bullied to be a little unstable when trying to get stronger for revenge.So I think a more wild personality should have come to the fore instead of unnecessary stuffing for it to be cool.I don't feel that mc has a completely distrustful image of the ducks chasing him according to his past life we learned.I liked the novel overall, better than other cliche reincarnation system novels.

Well. It doesn't seem bad till Chapter 25 but what I'm worried about the most is that these detective novels tend to be hard to write and capsizes easily. I don't want to see the day when our mc is superhuman that can jump 30 meters and the enemies are cultivators/martial artists from a mysterious criminal organization.
Tales of demons and gods is first novel i read, I become addicted cuz this novel and read more and more novel. Why the author write new novel and abandon this novel
Type of novel that talks about struggles between families and powerhouses. Those that want something about the hierachy, I recommend it. (Sorry i'm bad in english)
oh there is great catastrophe in great xia... first thing foreigners do... lets make fun of china... just to get face slapped... MC is OP and can fix every problem on earth, but chooses only to protect the great xia...

Are we getting more chapters because it’s been 19 days what do you have a schedule because if I took the advance chapters is to be able to read, but having only two chapters from 388 to 390 and not be able to read them. It’s kind of frustrating, I don’t know the circumstances or the reason why did the delay but as a reader, I would appreciate a heads up or some information telling us readers this information. [information being there will be a delay of certain chapters for a certain amount of time] which we as funds will be happy to give and support.
