The comedic aspect of novels rarely makes me laugh but this novel does it constantly. The classic chinese lines can be frustrating at times and the interactions/dialogues seemed unatural/forced in a few chapters but that’s nothing compared to the joy this novel brings for me. Very good concept, comedic interactions, items, characters, mistery and world building (could be detailed a bit more but I assume that will happen in later chapters). The magic warfare rabbits are just goated! I could go into way more details but it’s unnecesary, just read it! I was frustrated for a few chs where it went to ???? but i’m really glad I got past those
read usagi mofu review.this novel worth the read.I will give this novel around 4.2 stars, but to balance out negative review that has been given even before the novel has been released (idk why) ill give 5 stars.
an excellent chapter I look forward to what is in store for our skeletal friend in the next chapter (this part was type for the sole reason of getting enough words to post a review)
The chapters are split up. Chapter 40(1) on webnovel is actually chapter 19 MTL/RAW. The site smuggled in a new business opportunity - splitting the chapters. In this case, they gave us less than 19 full chapters. Used to be 60.. 40.. What a magic! Of deception. The first chapters.. are unpolished by the author in my opinion. But if it improves later on then it's fine. There's some bland, stiff dialogue, unnatural behaviour, forced plot. The high rating's reason? Author's name does the job, for example. Besides, there's potential, just that the execution so far is average. The MC got [Agility] talent, then after using it he calls himself talented while being serious. Ha ha ha.. :DIt's one of these novels where the one that takes MC role is decided by system (or well, apparently it's his Super ability). The author doesn't bother to write about the process of e.g. overcoming a language barrier. Just use system and... done, problem solved. For convenience...Grown men shown so far have somewhat flawed, unsuitable mentality for the roles they play (apparently they are experienced hunters but I wonder how they grew up and how they survived till now in such a dangerous world). The MC himself is alright, a bit dumb, a sheltered flower, no survival skills, so whatever logic or reasoning he comes up with is fine:) Hopefully he'll grow up as his adventures continue, or else be prepared for masterminds to have less IQ than he does. The author chose to write a novel with system and copied a popular idea. What was his motivation for this, one could wonder. In the same batch of trials, the author of "Protect our Patriarch(Chief)" actually roasted this kind of system novels. My comment is based only on the 19 (split into 40) chapters translated right now, because I have not touched MTL. If I read more chapters in future I'll either re-write my comment or add a fresh one with proper rating. 19 is not much after all and the subsequent might have a higher quality, I don't know. There are novels like World's Best Martial Artist, Museum of Deadly Beasts, A Sorcerer's Journey, Black Iron's Glory and many more that had even more boring, or cliche, or flawed initial chapters yet turned out to be much much better as I continued to read. It might also be the case with Astral Apostle.
I was the previous translator for this novel, and it's a great read to those of you guys who like OP mcs and the Litrpg genre in general.Translation quality:3/5. Subpar, but definitely decent. Although there are many things I disagree on such as the various character names as well as the arbitrary switch from 'free points' to 'omni points', the translator doesn't fall short of other Qidian translators. I rewrote some entire parts to intensify the story as well as fight scenes to make the story better on my own discretion, but if the translator doesn't want to it's his decision. The editing is horrible though, if there's one thing Qidian needs it's better editors. Multiple typos, spelling mistakes and one out of every two sentences was badly phrased. Translation would've been 3.5/5 if it weren't for editor. So tempted to join Qidian as an editor. Stability of Updates: 5/5, since it's Qidian. I mean, duh.Story Development: 5/5. One of the best Litrpg/Magic novels, and the plot certainly isn't cliche.Character Design: Uh this is a CN novel so you obviously don't have character development. But the personalities of the various characters do remain consistent so a solid 3/5. World Background:4/5. It does well on world-building too though it doesn't focus on that aspect. This novel has a good author.
it great I love it cuz of the astonishing characters and most importantly it has good quality English and has sense of reasoning and a good ending good beginning no mistakes if you read it you will know you're reading a novel something written by someone intelligent not just anybody just a great number and inspirational novel it has all the things you are looking for a interpreting support things done and the boy is a good boy
All in all, a solid novel. There aren’t too many chapters so I can make a concrete review. However, from what I’ve read so far (30 chaps or so) I would say that it’s quite solid. The concept is fun, the dialogues are nice, and the world background is also slowly starting to take shape. That said, there are a couple of things that could improved.Firstly, not sure if it was just me, but at some point you used an emoji, and my laptop couldn’t read it, so I was confused for a bit.Could be just me, and it wasn’t really a big problem. The pacing is fine since the world is starting to take shape, so no problem there.Character is fine, but you what should be worked on more are side characters. They do feel alive, but it can be slightly improved. Just give them more unique quirks, and some motivation and goals to which they aspire to achieve.Anyhow, I really do like the story. Keep up the good work.(Original Review: Alekzi)
Story should be tagged as a Slice of Life and nothing else. Any parts that involve cultivation or fantasy all feel forced. Author would rather talk about the nice places they go to eat.The update stability is also garbage. Stay away until they figure their sh*t out.
[Reviewed on: 06-03-2022][Reading status: 8th chapter][Strength: Face slapping, strong character development, fusion of two genres][Weakness: Well, according to me, it's super cliche cultivation novel]- The title says it all, literally half of the expected plotline.- A possibly weak-to-strong MC- Cliche cultivation settings and world- Magic, pills, martial arts are an expected part along with explicit scenes- A lot of girls, cultivation, energy and the goal to get stronger- However I personally felt that the initial chapters had nothing different to offer. It followed traditional formation and plot to set the ground. - In the midst of ocean of eastern cultivation books what this one has to offer? The NPC theme from prior life seemed to be faded after transmigration, diverting back to old cliche plot.If you're interested in eastern cultivation then this is for you. [Additional remarks]The author has improved visibly compared to his previous books. The flow and pace is good, every scene execution is done wonderfully Talking about grammar and stuff, don't worry over that.
My one and only regret about this Novel. Is knowing it existed this early.........urghhh.......why this happen to me?..........I wished I came across this months later.....not now......then I'd have lots of chapters Available....... I should have just minded my own business....... Sadly animals die in pursuit of Food......and people like me die at cliffhangers.......With all that said. I love how our great Author-Sensei made the Mc. Someone with common Sense and not arrogant. The female characters have their own personality. Not just some puppets. Hopefully we'll see more development with them in future chapters! Keep Up the Good Work!
Very nice to see Er Gen new novel, but it is saddening to see how webnovel divides the chapters in two or three parts, just in this case the chapter 19 corresponds with 10 in raws.
