Cliche Cultivation novel,the story become worsed caused of the racism(ch 3)....... ...... ....... .................
The I only give the like for the translation quality and it update, however other than that- this novel is just Chinese propaganda, nationalism my ass, if this is nationalism, then it would make the Nazi and the KKK look like a cultural welcoming reception. I read novel with nationalism before, and it’s starting to becoming a trend now within this genre(magical realism) if the realism is the case then I’m starting to doubt Chinese youth culture as a whole. It’s irony how the author attacked other Asians by calling them Monkey, but I don’t know if he understand that, to other people who aren’t Asian and racist, they’re all Monkey. It’s hypocritical really. I give 4 stars to translation quality and update stability, the rest can go to hell for all I care. ( only read this if you’re an overly nationalistic person and are Chinese, I’m sure it would make you feel good, just pitiful.)

Great story that even those who dont know baseball can read? perfect english, which is a bonus compared to other novels out there. Good charachter building and moderate pace of the story with emphasis on emotions rather than the usual level up and getting stronger theme of many other novels. A great change which i hope many more will appreciate? No bad feedback to give to you author, I love it all??

I need to talk about the Chen Dali and Hua Zhiyun interaction because I literally cannot. This woman receives a threatening message about shaving her head and her first instinct is to toss Chen Dali a dagger and tell him to shave someone else's head instead. Then she asks if Li Shi's hair would work. Then she asks Chen Dali if he's really not eating the roast pigeon. The emotional whiplash of this character is incredible. She's threatening people, casually offering murder-as-favor, and then just shrugging and saying "I was joking" about eating the messenger pigeon like she didn't just suggest having a fellow exile brutally beaten and half-shaved. And Chen Dali's reaction—leaping backward ten feet, dropping to his knees, begging for mercy—is honestly the funniest thing I've read all year. But here's what got me: when Hua Zhiyun looks at that severed hair and sprinkles itching powder on it, calling it "a small gift for the person behind you"—that's not just revenge, that's her sending a message. Someone in the capital wants her head shaved, and she's making sure they itch for two weeks instead. The power dynamic has completely flipped. She's in exile, beaten down, marching south, and she's still controlling the board from thousands of miles away. Meanwhile Chu Linzhang is waking up bandaged with no memory of the surgery, eating porridge, and slowly realizing the woman beside him is something beyond human. There's something almost tender about how he watches that blue carriage at the rear, protecting her reputation even when he can't protect her from the road.
