Another fantastic tale that leans more towards slow wear. Each arc is significantly longer, around 25 chapters, which is roughly double the typical fast-paced format. I appreciated the slower pace, allowing for deeper exploration of the MC and ML's relationship,尽管smut scenes were less frequent. It was a bit sad, but the quick reunions between the main characters were a delight. While I had personal preferences for some arcs over others, particularly those showcasing the MC's assertiveness and skills, the change in pace was refreshing. The ML's cuteness remained consistent, and the MC was equally delightful and supportive. The confusion surrounding the ML's identity in the reality arc left me intrigued, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this story.
Honestly, the novel is quite commendable, despite not being a groundbreaking masterpiece. It does have a few plot inconsistencies, such as why they send students to the human world without a clear strategy for attacking or accompanying faculty, considering the significant resources invested just to eliminate relatively formidable humans, plus a teacher who's in a secure location on their own turf.
Nonetheless, I would still recommend giving it a try. My favorite character thus far is Samuel; his character development has been outstanding, and I won't spoil the fact that he has a tragic backstory. (For those curious, he might be the silver-haired boy on the cover.)
The main character is also impressive. He effectively utilizes the information he has and possesses fascinating abilities, like his 'chaos element' and 'stelf,' which allow him to erase his presence and others' memories briefly at the cost of one of his senses (hearing, sight, taste, etc.).
The world-building is intriguing, with a balanced moral landscape where neither the human nor demon races are entirely black or white. There's no clear-cut good or evil side.
Lastly, I'd like to express gratitude to the translators for their work. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing with the story.
To be honest, I started with the manga, specifically the two released chapters, and got completely immersed. I've now read up to Volume 9, and I absolutely adore the overall story. While the romantic elements between FM and RT initially caught my attention, it has evolved into a sweet and adorable aspect of their relationship. I appreciate how each character is developing and contributing to the ensemble, making the plotlines both complex and intricately woven around the central storyline. It's a perfect blend of warmth, lightheartedness, and a hint of military theme. In summary, I highly recommend this series for those who enjoy a heartwarming narrative with a touch of romance and a dash of military intrigue.
