when will we see new chapters?
The stakes in these chapters are deceptively simple on the surface but incredibly complex underneath, and that's what makes them so compelling. On the surface: Chu Yiran needs to survive an all-staff briefing without Shen Yu recognizing her. That's it. Hide in a crowd of thousands. Don't make eye contact. Don't speak. But the author keeps reminding us why this matters. What happens if he recognizes her? We don't know the full answer yet, but we know it's bad enough that she spent three days studying an auditorium floor plan like it was a military operation. Then there's the secondary conflict layer: the note about Hengyuan Trading and Sun Wanqing's ex-husband. "The actual controller of Hengyuan Trading is Sun Wanqing's ex-husband." This is a completely different thread—corporate fraud, related-party transactions, abuse of power—and Chu Yiran has chosen not to act on it. She's holding this information like a loaded weapon she's afraid to fire. The stakes here are different: not personal survival, but moral choice. Does she expose Sun Wanqing and risk drawing attention to herself? Or does she stay silent and protect her cover? And the most interesting conflict is the one between Chu Yiran and her own deception. Every text she sends to Shen Yu is a potential trap. Every voice message is a performance. The original owner's habits are a minefield she has to navigate carefully. When she searches for "high-level romantic lines" and gets caught, it's not just a funny moment—it's a reminder that every interaction with Shen Yu is a high-wire act without a net. The kettle scene is where all these conflicts converge. She's hiding from Shen Yu (personal survival), she's working for Sun Wanqing (corporate danger), and she's pretending to be someone else (identity conflict). And in that moment, when his hand reaches over and his gaze sweeps toward her, all three conflicts collide. He could recognize her. He could suspect something. He could— The chapter ends with her frozen, and that's the perfect note. Not because we don't know what happens next, but because the uncertainty IS the conflict. Every unread message, every pause, every glance is a question mark hanging over her head. And the author has made us care so much about whether she'll be okay that we can't look away.
will this book have a second book with there kids?? if they get to have any kids?
This is amazing and unique. I love Joshua’s and Alices relationship. It has a smooth flow and it's easy to read. It's added to my library, cant wait for more updates! Definitely recommend, great job Author!

Again I love this! I have red all 3 books and I think I liked this one the most. It’s the first book where it is not the mighty alpha who can have everyone and everything and because of it I feel it is more relatable or something :) but I love every book of this series and I will gladly continue ...
Amazing story! So well articulated. Absolutely entwining and binge worthy! The cliff hanger and no book 2 yet left m salivating for more! When do we see book 2?
