This is an overall fantastic story with a relatable protagonist who has formed a loving family and support system. The main character's background as a survivor from a mountainous upbringing is mentioned frequently, which can become a bit repetitive. Shen An, Shen Ning, and Shen Lie are likable siblings, but their character development might be limited due to their consistent niceness.
The standout character, Shen Jin, starts off as an innocent child pampered by his mother. However, he demonstrates remarkable growth by acknowledging past mistakes and learning from them. Despite facing hardships, he evolves into a well-developed and admirable character with the most compelling character arc in the story. He doesn't blame his cousins for their parents' actions, even though he experiences pain, showing resilience and maturity.
The tragedy that befalls Shen Jin's sister is heart-wrenching, and it accelerates his need to grow up quickly. His father's incompetence and the mother's potential for sacrificing her own kin for her own gain make for a grim reality. Shen Jin's strong personality, shaped by adversity, is inspiring as he mentors his siblings to avoid past mistakes.
I would have enjoyed a deeper exploration of Shen Jin's upbringing as the head of his family, showcasing his growth. He is indeed a captivating character who often steals the spotlight. Among the least favorite characters, the Lu family's first branch wife stands out as the most annoying and foolish, consistently making poor choices and displaying a lack of intelligence.
Firstly, I'd like to express that I won't delve into the storytelling aspects and will focus on the characters, particularly the main character (MC). What I appreciate is that the MC doesn't conform to typical heroic stereotypes; he enjoys his life with friends and family, using his extraordinary powers to help others without letting it consume his every thought. This carefree nature is refreshing, especially in contrast to narratives with intense plot twists.
However, there are elements I find frustrating. Despite claiming not to seek prestige, the MC still tries to impress nobles to the best of his ability, which comes across as insincere, considering his invincibility. It would make more sense for him to maintain a low profile and genuinely assist people without being tied to any nation. Another issue is his indecisiveness and hypocrisy, as demonstrated with Lady Karina. He may not have intentions with her, but his actions give her false hope, which is unfair.
The hypocrisy regarding Arisa is also problematic. He distances himself, telling her to return in 10 years if she still has feelings for him, citing her youth. But at 15 physically, this seems hypocritical, especially when considering Arisa's potential maturity. Moreover, if he truly cared for Arisa, who might love him deeply, he wouldn't reject her advances so casually, especially when compared to someone much older.
While I don't mind the MC having multiple relationships, his indecisiveness becomes a source of annoyance. It would be more enjoyable if he were more decisive in his interactions with the women in his life.
FL's character is fantastic - she stands up for herself, doesn't tolerate nonsense, and knows exactly what she desires. It was satisfying to see her decisively kick the ex-fiance; he definitely had it coming. Despite some instances where the protagonist's dialogue seems overly childish and not reflective of his mature personality, the main character is still incredibly cute. His parents and assistant provide comic relief with their antics. The author could refine their writing style, but overall, the story was an enjoyable read, filled with amusing exchanges between the ML and his family members and assistant.
This is the esports-themed novel I particularly enjoyed following 'I Can Do It.' The main character has a bit of a Gary Stu (omnipotent protagonist) vibe, yet reading about his journey is incredibly fulfilling. It's definitely deserving of a solid 5-star rating. I also appreciated the parallel universe setting, which added an intriguing twist to the story. Overall, it's a highly recommended read.
Great start! The protagonist uncovered her husband's unfaithfulness, and rather than wallowing in despair, she has decided to seek a divorce. Reflecting on her past naivety, she's embracing personal growth. She's a formidable character who doesn't require a reliance on regression or isekai-themed power-ups. The translation is exceptional, and I sincerely hope this story continues without falling by the wayside.
I like this story. Though it's isekai and typical revenge plot, the phase is not too fast nor too slow. The flow of the story is aligned to my taste, but I would say it's a slow-burn romance.It's not cringey to the point you'll end up to roll your eyes. Lu Manman is an independent woman, though she often ask for help, still she could handle herself fairly well.It has different taste and ambiance. The revenge stratagem is not only for bickering and face slapping, it's very methodical. Though, it might get you bored a little because it's full of jargons about business.
Men who don't want to see their woman elope with others of the same s*x are not "brainwashed." Everyone has their own views and beliefs. It has nothing to do with "fragile egos." Monogamous men view this as cheating regardless of the gender their significant other sleeps with. We often project our beliefs into the stories we read, often putting ourselves in different scenarios within the confines of the story to see how we would react. I get my sense of conquest from having one woman I can love and die with for the rest of my life. I expect this sentiment from my partner as well. We aren't "brainwashed." If we don't condone this type of behavior in real life, most of us wouldn't condone it in fiction as well.

I've read up to 469 and although there were plenty of plot holes to spot, such as the MC having accomplish things way too easy, or the lack of personality between the characters, I still stuck with it since the author is actually open to improving the personality of the characters themselves. I can still tolerate him taking his cousin as his wife since it's considered within the norm of the current society and it was also arranged marriage, the idea of him taking his sister is beyond the limits of what I can tolerate. Not only is it frowned upon within the real world's society but also considered sinful within the current society of the novel. He hasn't actually made a move on his sister but the moment his wife decided to support his sister on making a move on the mc, I can already see the MC eventually fucking his sister. The comments below also seem to prove my inference of the possible direction of their relationship. For personal reasons, I decided to drop this novel. Though I still admit that it was an interesting read. It's nowhere near gold but it's a good read to pass time at the very least.
