It's not abandoned I promise. I suffered kidney failure secondary to endometriosis over the past few months and I promise the updates will pick up again regularly as I come to terms with my new health status.
The story's main narrative is quite comprehensible, allowing me to read ahead. Overall, it's not a bad story, but there are a few areas where I believe the author could allocate more attention.
Regarding the main character's (MC) age discrepancy, the author seems to have a inconsistencies. Since people in the story's future are typically considered adults at 25, it's odd that the MC, being 23, is still regarded as a minor. The male lead (ML), claiming to be 92 (though we're unsure if that's his real age), tries to justify the age difference by comparing it to historical practices where 18-year-olds were considered adults. However, this analogy doesn't hold water; just because it was once acceptable doesn't mean it's appropriate in the current context.
The ML's behavior towards the MC also raises concerns. He keeps important information from him and even resorts to physical discipline, treating him like a child. This dynamic, where the ML both sees and treats the MC as a minor while harboring romantic intentions, creates a highly uncomfortable situation. It's important to establish clear boundaries and respect the MC's maturity, especially since he is legally an adult in the story's world.
I would rate this novel 4.5 out of 5 stars. The deduction of 0.5 point is due to my personal preference - I wished the female lead (FL) wouldn't get pregnant. Apart from that, I absolutely adore this book. The FL's character is truly refreshing - she values a stable life with a dependable partner over romantic love, which resonates well with my own values.
The storyline is clean and there were no major misunderstandings in my reading. However, I found it unsatisfactory when the FL conceived. What I particularly appreciated about the male lead (ML) was his emphasis on wanting an equal partner, not a child bride. He was initially uncomfortable with the age difference but recognized the FL's emotional maturity. This ensures a balanced dynamic without any power imbalances.
If you're looking for a low-drama, realistic relationship development story, I highly recommend giving this novel a try.

It gets a lot better like chapter 70 from then onwards theres a ton of action and crap. I just finished the book it was pretty good kinda rushed ending but meh it was alright.
