There's a symbolism here I can't ignore. The sack - that's the ultimate object of dehumanization. Two men with a sack, ready to stuff a girl inside and disappear her. It's not just a kidnapping tool; it's a metaphor for how the Wang family wants to erase Qin Xiaoran. Cui Hongyan doesn't want to argue with her or compete with her; she wants to remove her entirely, like putting something unwanted in a bag and throwing it away. But Qin Xiaoran refuses to be bagged. She fights, she shouts, she makes herself visible. The sack fails because she refuses to be invisible. Meanwhile, the spring water in her space - that's the opposite symbol. She drinks it, and it transforms her body, makes her stronger, clearer, healthier. Water as purification, water as power. She's not being stuffed in a sack; she's being filled with life. And the vegetables - wheat, corn, peanuts - these are staples, foundations, things that sustain. While Cui Hongyan is trying to destroy, Qin Xiaoran is building. That's the theme: creation versus erasure. The author keeps returning to this contrast. Wang Xiaoyi cries and screams; Qin Xiaoran plants and grows. Wang Wenbin calculates and schemes; Qin Xiaoran farms and prepares. Even the physical transformations mirror the thematic ones - Qin Xiaoran's body becomes stronger while the Wangs become more desperate. The Xun man in the sack is symbolic too; he represents the 'marriage' Cui Hongyan wanted to force, now reduced to a criminal being dragged away. The old man with the fan who instructs people to hold the traffickers down? That's community intervention, the collective choosing justice over silence. Every symbol reinforces the same message: you cannot bag what refuses to be contained.
