To those who come here and are in doubt whether or not it is worth reading, I will say what I remember when I read it,overall it was a good read, if you don't have so many books to read maybe this will surprise, saying that it is a good cliché is perhaps the best way to describe it, especially if you like swordsman protagonists, it's worth giving a chance, although, be aware that you don't have all the chapters here, you'll have to look elsewhere to continue
Guys I am new to this Soul Land series!! But can anyone who catched up to the fourth part(which I heard is the latest release) tell me what is this series about? Like I mean will this series have 4 Protagonists or just one guys reincarnating again and again? If it different protagonists, can we see a Protagonist of one Soul Land in another? Like will Protagonist from SL1 make an appearance in SL2 or SL3? And finally is it good and is there a Harem or single female lead? I am okay with anything!! And how about romance and action, are they balanced and good?
The initial part of the novel and its translation are exceptional. However, from Chapter 90 and onwards, the pacing becomes rushed, which significantly detracts from my enjoyment. The abrupt or hastily concluded ending dealt a major blow to my overall satisfaction with the story. Moreover, the romantic aspect seems to fade after Chapter 50, almost becoming non-existent. Given these points, I would rate the comedy aspect three stars.
The narrative was quite enjoyable. In terms of plot, it's familiar territory, but the characters stood out due to their likability. Each character had distinct traits that set them apart from one another. The story could have been derailed by common issues in cultivation or harem novels, such as sudden character transformations, hypocrisy, cookie-cutter characters, and repetitive storylines. However, these aspects were handled well so far.
The main character (MC) demonstrated maturity, avoiding typical immature desires often seen in transmigrated individuals. He wasn't indiscriminately attracted to everyone and openly rejected romantic advances, maintaining clear goals. A cliché often found in cultivation novels - the MC needing to 'cure' a female lead (FL) through intimacy due to moral or emotional obstacles - was reimagined tastefully. Instead of forcing a sexual encounter, the MC discovered a need for a cultivation partner to balance his yang techniques, which led to a more subtle dynamic where he received Yin energy from his adoptive sister without crossing the line into inappropriate behavior.
The novel provided humorous moments and added depth to the relationships, particularly within the harem and romantic context, without resorting to clichéd or offensive elements. The only aspect that could be considered tasteless was treating the FL's original-world sexuality as a comedic ailment, suggesting it needed to be "cured" or fixed, which I found problematic. Overall, the novel maintained a refreshing approach to these common tropes.
I came across this story a while back and absolutely loved it. In fact, I even searched for PDF versions to fill in the gaps and explore more. I also delved into the manga, although I found it quite short, but the illustrations were exceptional! Initially, the main character (MC) might have rubbed me the wrong way due to his naivete – I mean, who hasn't known a 17-year-old who could get into serious trouble? The male lead (ML) had his moments, but it's important to remember everyone changes over time.
The story is filled with an array of characters, creating numerous shipping possibilities. As I progressed, I developed affection for most of them, even if some scenes made me shed tears or want to give someone a good talking-to. There are various types of villains, from the typical baddies to the unexpectedly charming "boss" villain (RL), whose cuteness is hard to resist despite their villainous reputation (*blush*).
In any case, this story is definitely worth a read, with its steamy moments that... let's just say, leave a certain impression (*wink wink*). Give it a try!
The characters are so vividly portrayed, particularly Cheng Yu. Despite his deep infatuation, he still maintains a level of理智, which, based on my own experience, is quite remarkable. I've had a 10-year-long love that ended with me breaking things off, knowing the real world would inevitably intervene. It's like a persistent ache, dormant most of the time but resurfacing with a mix of sadness and sweetness. I find myself relating to Cheng Yu's situation; I'm unsure why I can love someone in such a way, given their engagement to another. Reading about their actions, I empathize completely, even though it's an unhealthy, isolating, and painful emotion. I've come to accept that there's no escape from it.
I also appreciate Xie Hui's unexpected visit to Lin An Lan, mentioning Cheng Yu's illness - it added an intriguing twist to the story.
Thank the gods even more.
yeah I have stopped reading after seeing who the author is I know I am not gonna like the ending(still recovering from the endings of his other 2 novels)
I have read more than 1600 chapters of this novel, the story stays interesting throughout although by the end it starts turning dark.
Can't wait for more chapters.

I’ve never laughed so much. Sometimes the jokes are like beating a dead donkey, but it’s weirdly heartwarming. The Chinese internet slang is a pain to try to find online; Wikipedia is your friend.10-10 the chandelier was probably my favorite.The enlightened dumbass is obviously the true MC, hands down. The story, aside from the comedy, is coherent and enjoyable. The plot “twists” are a bit obvious but it’s still a wild ride. Sad in some parts, yet full of life in others.Would recommend to anyone on the fence.
