Grammar lets this book down. But i like the story itself, and would be really interested in reading more.. if only there was more. I like the chatacters only some seem to only appear as fillers but who knows what the future of this book will bring.
Okay. So firstly. I tried. I really tried to stick with this novel. And give it leeway cus gaming novels are hard with stats and balancing RL and VR. But seriously author. Wtf. Are you even rereading your work? Making notes of past chapters? Planning and outlining? Listening to the reviews?
It’s an amazing concept and the first chapter was excellent. But then it’s just downhill at a ridiculous pace. I would suggest rewriting it from the beginning. But take time and plan. And observe how other novels are done. You need to plan not just the MC development in game and outside. But also the game world. Story line. Skills. And stats. And most importantly. You need to stick to your own details. Also it seems the stats are messing you up terribly so just ignore them and use descriptive and vague words. Allow for auto assignment and development of stats. Plz avoid over done % effects that can stack and fixed damages that will be be no sense when ppl level up their HP. Sure 500 damage is cool at first. But the time the MC is able to use the move his HP is already over 2000 and he isn’t even a tank. Much less later. Also the progression of the stats leveling up is inconsistent and just random. You are doing too much too soon. Overdoing everything. Rewards. Leveling. Masteries. Churning out legendary equipment within the first year of the game when it’s the the second to highest level of equipment with 5 levels under it??? That breaks the game especially since he can’t use the weapons due to his class and rich ppl suddenly own the game.
You need to develop your story. Not just **** it out fast. Take time to fight and learn and grow your character and their world. He is just blazing through time, fights and stats. And it’s boring, inconsistent and useless. He isn’t even OP cus he has so little conflict to show OP ability and has very little impact on the world according to the novel.
So here it is. Final words. Remember that the best stories have cliffhangers due to conflict and real world relations and developments. As well as in game world development and changes. Not everything has to be directly and immediately related to the MC and you don’t have to force time and character progression. Character and world development is more important. A whole chapter on the effects of a players actions can still be epic. Also include more humor and action. The story is too dry. More meat. Even if it means slower chapters and slower time progression. Also you need to decide what type of MC you are going for. A struggling MC with character development. Or an oblivious OP MC with insane luck and skill. Each one will have its own conflict storylines. OP ones mean more comedy and face slapping and will allow for broken dumb luck and unbelievable situations. Although you have to temper it to their character. Sly. Hotheaded. Etc. struggling MC will require more feelings and backstory and inner thoughts. Connections and deep bonds. And finally. You need to have goals. An MC without goals/standards is useless. Even if it’s just to have fun. What is their goal both personally and for the game. And this will affect their choices.
Writing a story isn’t ****** and shouldn’t just be done blindly. Put thought into it and passion. And reread your work. Compare to others of similar genre. Definitely google some writing tips.

read three chapters and all three were awful. I already know i can't handle the MC and it's unlikely he's going to change much especially considering how the prologue introduced from his point of view, the story. the FMC is fine and would probably be better if it was from her perspective. going to read a few more but so far everything that's been written that I have read is just what seems to be 2/3rds random thoughts of his and then the other 1/3 him being a failure/trying to be a side character. maybe it's just preference that I always hate novels that decide to have a MC have side character syndrome.
It's been a while since I have reviewed a novel, so pardon me if what I may have written might seem not understandable. First of all, let me start by saying that this novel is unique. Unique not in the sense that there aren't any pirate novels or any mc with sadistic tendencies but it was surprising to see a novel that combined both of these genres, and I have to admit, it's a pretty nice combination. For those who want a short concise opinion, I suggest you read the novel and give it a go. chances are you will probably be heavily impressed. For those who won't mind a long read, ill put in my thoughts on this novel in a bit more detail!
First and foremost I want to compliment the writing style of the entire novel. Its sticks out very much from the standard webnovel novels. Rather than following the light novel style, the narration feels a lot closer to the westernized style of writing. Another plus for me was the smooth transition between the first-person and third-person points of view. these mixed use of pov does indeed IMO help a lot in increasing the overall immersion of the novel. The use of emotions was pretty much amazing. Sometimes you do feel in sync with the emotions of the protagonist.
Talking about chapter updates, This area is indeed a major weak point of the novel. Although chapter lengths are indeed pretty much above average or in fact on the longer side, the guaranteed release of one chapter per week isn't much. But I did see a much better chapter release schedule this week, so that's good news.
Now the world's development is phenomenal and the fact that almost every place that Hestia and her gang visit have been made into a map and posted on the discord channel ensures that it's easier to understand what's happening where.
The story is pretty good. It is engaging and does get better as you read more. The genre here isn't exactly my cup of tea but id say it isn't a story you would feel much bored about. But do remember about the fundamental fact that Hestia (The MC) is REALLY a sadist, it is not a figure of speech. So those who are here in for a story of "sunshine and roses" protagonist who saves lives and spares their enemy, will not be exactly pleased or amused(but she does spare some of them so don't come to torch me if she spares some dudes). I love the detailing in the novel as well, whether it be describing the beauty of Hestia, the majesty of Cerberus, or the loyalty of Lucas and the rest of the crew, the great attention to detail and explanation sometimes immerse you far more than you could imagine. But one part I do find unsatisfying is the action parts. Yes, Hestia IS meant to OP but sometimes it makes the fights seem a bit bland. Other than a few instances, usually, it is just Hestia one-sidedly beating someone to death (tbh I should have expected as much when the MC is a sadist)
The characters are amazing, every single one of them has their own distinct characteristics, personalities, and morals. Tbh in the 40 chapters that I have read, I didn't see any one of the crew ever breaking from the character. The emotional use is amazing and sometimes you will feel the emotions the characters are facing. And the MC is really unique and it's fun seeing her having fun with the gang. Although yes it is yuri and harem, I don't feel it to be the main focal point of the story. all in all, it's just the story of a wacky captain enjoying with her crew in all sorts of adventure
half the fun seems to be in discord with all of them world maps, and with the ability to talk with hysterics, what more could you ask? and the character arts are amazing as well. So IMO this novel is definitely something to put on your reading list, may or may not be your cup of tea but ill encourage you to give it a try as it might surprise you as much as it did to me
I read the first 20 chapters and I feel a little familiar with the author's storytelling style. Do you know what the first 20 chapters achieved: making the reader emotional with the face slapping style typical of light novels. The author directly creates a story where the MC succeeds in making a great work and the rest is where the work is tested then the NPCs around act like keyboard warrior commentators where most of them are tasked with mocking the MC for the sake of building face-slapping emotional momentum. There is no depth to the story, just a story of brain pain. I have a feeling that the next chapters will also repeat like this.
The Invincible Hero surprises the reader with story twists. Just when you think you can ‘predict’ what will happen next, you can’t. Or at least I couldn’t. This novel is different from the typical templates of other cultivation novels including how reincarnation is imagined. I like to be surprised and this novel does it. The creativity of the author to imagine new possibilities to manipulating the soul, reincarnation and effects is impressive. I can’t give examples as they would be spoilers for the novel. It also has a subtle humor throughout the story which makes it more enjoyable. Can’t wait for the rest of the novel.

not exceptional but not mediocre either. The plot is interesting however it lacks a lot of information about the mc and his environment, which limits the immersion and sometimes gives the impression that the world is absurd.
Such an amazing novel. I really love how he uses people through out all of history and then even puts a twist on some more fictional ones. There are some minor faults such as the author more often than not will use the word thought for fought but it doesn't at all subtract from the quality of the overall story or the interesting quests and characters. Very well done all around and I am still stunned by just how much I am truly enjoying the journey.

Yikes. This reads worse than any other novel of similar type. If you can read the first chapter and not cringe you might enjoy this I guess.
The fantasy part of the system aside, everything is unrealistic and the plot doesnt have any direction. Things come out of nowhere.
Complete and utter garbage. If you want a real novel of this genre read Im a Baller.
