Okay so I need to talk about the structure of this whole reveal because WOW. The author plays with time like a goddamn magician here. We start with He Zheng at a press conference dealing with some drama, then pivot to him investigating his Top Supporter, and suddenly everything converges in one night. The charity gala, the truth about Huazhou, the letters—eight years of buildup compressed into a few chapters. That's tight writing. What really got me was how the plot threads were all there but He Zheng was too stubborn to see them. The letters, the clues, the fact that the Top Supporter answered so fast, never paused to think—it was an open-book exam and He Zheng just kept walking past the answers. And then when Li Ru drops the Wei surname bomb and mentions both the Huazhou president and Mr. Wei are at the same gala? My heart stopped. Because we, the readers, had been piecing it together while He Zheng was still in denial. The pacing in these chapters is absolutely ruthless. You go from a tense press conference to a breathless car chase to a reunion under a broken streetlight, and each scene feeds the next without a single wasted moment. The author doesn't explain things—they let the plot breathe and trust the reader to connect the dots. That's why the ending hits so hard. Eight years of silence, one three-kilometer run, and suddenly it's over.
