I need to talk about the Divine Mirror scene because holy shit the atmosphere shift from that opening gong to the purple light shooting skyward was cinematic as hell. One second you've got this lively academy crowd buzzing about who'll win, and then — boom — the gentle landscape in the projection stone twists into an inferno. The author didn't even need a ton of words, just that single image of the landscape transforming and you immediately feel the dread. And the beast tide at the end? Core Formation realm? In a test that was already throwing Foundation Establishment monsters at kids who haven't even reached Foundation Establishment yet? The stakes went from "this will be tough" to "we are about to watch people die" in about three paragraphs. That vine scene where the disciple gets impaled and turns into a blood mist — I actually gasped. Not exaggerating. "Death inside the Divine Mirror offered no resurrection; it was true death!" — this line hit me like a truck. The author just casually dropped that fact and suddenly every moment of tension doubled in weight. These kids aren't just competing for a title, they're literally walking into a death trap. The visual of the Grand Preceptor arriving with his silver brows and stooped back, releasing that powerful force to break the isolation, and then the lines of light spreading beneath everyone's feet — it reads like a movie sequence. I could see every frame. The glowing Divine Tree at the end with the Core Formation beast tide approaching in the distance? That's your episode cliffhanger right there.
