The main character (MC) is the eldest daughter of the highest-ranked noble family in the kingdom. However, her family is far from supportive; she has an ambivalent father and an ambitious stepmother and stepsister, making her surrounded by enemies with few resources. The only things keeping her alive are two loyal retainers and the family's need to maintain appearances. Now that the MC no longer lives in the family mansion due to starting high school, her future tragic death seems to be fast approaching. One issue with this story is that the translation is not great. Minor errors are common, and sometimes paragraphs don't make sense. Still, it’s mostly readable, and I enjoy it.
The novel isn't bad; it's just somewhere between average and good. I appreciate that the main character (MC) isn't the only special one in the story. His "golden finger" ability is shared by four others.
However, the actions of the MC when he is still weak can be quite frustrating. The MC often does stupid things and seems to attract young masters like a magnet. Other characters are particularly irritating, especially his second brother. I'm glad that his first love didn't work out.
The story had good potential, but the author seems to have squandered it. Apart from that, the pacing follows the typical Xianxia pattern.
I gave it 5 stars because the overall rating seemed too low. , it's not boring, nor is it particularly entertaining. It's a fairly average novel.
Certainly, considering the author has only produced two novels thus far, it's only fair to give them some room for growth. The book does have numerous plot holes and unrealistic elements that can be frustrating, causing one to grit their teeth and perhaps worry about losing patience. We'll just have to hope that the author improves in their future literary endeavors.
To clarify, I've reached volume 2, possibly chapter 3. Many people compare this to Nidome no Yuusha, which I believe is an unfair comparison. Nidome no Yuusha has its own疯狂元素, whereas this novel leans more towards a lighthearted revenge tale. Some might enjoy that, but for me, it feels a bit too light and lacks depth.
While I don't think it needs to become as chaotic as Nidome No Yuusha, it suffers from a lack of substance. Most plotlines come across as a comedy, with moments where the protagonist talks about violent actions, only to revert back to a comedic tone. I use "comedy" loosely here, as it's rather dry and unoriginal, resembling a collection of clichéd isekai jokes. It's not terrible, but it doesn't stand out either. After a few chapters, you can predict the formula.
I genuinely tried to find something engaging, but alas, nothing really grabbed me. Even the skills, magic, and items are unremarkable. I wouldn't call it a bad read, but giving it a 3/5 feels generous. It's passable if you're looking for a quick read with no other options, but that's about it.
I'm quite disappointed... I reached Chapter 29 and found out that I needed to pay for further content. The Novel Updates website claims the entire novel is fully translated with 30 chapters, but when I got here, there are actually over 90 chapters accessible, just 28 of which are open. It's understandable if this was clearly mentioned from the start, but discovering it mid-read feels dishonest. If I'd known, I wouldn't have wasted my time. This sort of tactic really irks me, even if the story wasn't that great to begin with. My curiosity got the better of me, but now I'm unwilling to continue. Hence, my rating...

Indeed after chapter 118 after the painting and the spirit array come to MC. The whole story completely change without any explanation and no sense at all. It truly shocked the hell out of me and somehow cringe. It doesn't have the the original story anymore. It somewhat copy paste from cultivation bigshot lol.
This author just decided to erase all the character bond with the MC in just one chapter. Wow...and next chapter was suddenly out of nowhere he just falls in love with that spirit.....cringe as hell. And then his disdain toward yu hongye so suddenly. Wtf is going on....before meeting the spirit the story doesn't show any signs of disdain toward his maids. In just one chapter this happen. What the heck is going. I stop at chapter 124. Since this story is starting to be going the same as I'm cultivation bigshot. Without any progress story and just like he made mistake build on the character of the maids. Suddenly he just want to erase it like we don't need to know.
