I was a bit intrigued by the cover of Starbound Sorceress. The picture definitely shows my envision of Zee. The author did a wonderful job in introducing her to his readers. She didn't have much of a reaction to the inciting incident, though. It was like 'oh, I have a spirit. that's totally normal'. I wished she had shown some kind of realistic emotions to her surroundings. Regardless, I like her. Obviously, since I am a huge fan of morally grey characters. Her companion spirit is my list of favorite thing in the story. The interaction between the two got me smiling. Top tier to the banter. Totally a good read
it's progressing really fast and although at the start he talked about his family being poor and wanting to support them, weeks had already past in one chapter not mentioning anything he had done and he quickly became a billionaire plus, he has not mentioned once how/if he helped his family or how they reacted to his money or if they knew at all.
The soul splitting ability was not utilized well. Why can't he spam it to gain skills

Common has a way with words and can construct a scene with great precision. Awesome job! Give this story a chance and I doubt you'll regret it. We can only hope for more chapters to release in the future.
Okay so let me just say—this ice cream scene. I read it three times. Three. Because the way Shen An just… takes her ice cream, eats from the exact spot her lips touched, and then looks at her with that unapologetic expression? Wen Li's internal screaming is EVERYTHING. "This—who told him to eat hers?!" I was on the floor. But here's what actually got me—the dog scene right after. She's looking at this little gray poodle and suddenly it's all about domesticity. Shen An says "I have time. I can walk it morning and night" like it's nothing, like he's already picturing a life where he's the one coming home to her every day. And then the name—Wen Xiaobai. His joke about the second child taking his surname hit me like a truck. Not because it's bold or dramatic, but because it's so casual. He's not even trying to hide that he's planning forever. And then the morning after. She dreams about him—OKAY I didn't need to know that but also I needed to know that—and wakes up pressed against him and immediately showers because she's flustered. Meanwhile he's just… awake, watching her, thinking about how beautiful they looked in those photos. "No one else deserves him" is such a simple line but it carries so much weight. He's not saying it out loud but the reader knows. The CP chemistry here isn't in grand gestures. It's in him carrying her bag, eating her ice cream, offering to walk a dog she wants, buying out photos of them together like he's protecting something precious. It's in her making wontons for him every morning without being asked. This is the slow burn that actually burns.
I love the quality of this novel. It's exactly the type of novel I'm looking to read in my spare time. This novel features an OP MC, a direct progression of the story, and a clear power system. The author's style and pace in his chapters are comforting to read and you can clearly feel that a clear effort of world-building is established in the story, so props for the author for that.My concern through the progression of the story (without spoiling anything) comes with the characters themselves. The MC does not have any philosophy for himself, or in other words, he is the type of every generic cliches that act like the MC empathizes with the weak and is clearly a beta male then in the next chapters the same MC becomes arrogant and thinks every single species are just ants to him. The same could be said to some characters in the story too.All in all, I'd strongly recommend this to readers who want to have a quick read. In the end, face-slapping novels are still satisfying to read.
The story seems quite engaging with a good pace and an interesting plot.
I enjoyed reading the story thus far. Everything, was written exceptionally well for the most part. Although, he/she got their possessive adjectives mixed up sometimes. Besides that, I don't have that many complaints when it comes to the story. Unfortunately, I can't continue supporting this book. The author has a tendency to be demeaning to his readers. If you don't believe me. Read his responses to me and others. His behavior is that of a child. I can't support someone like this. Good luck to him/her.
The narrator gives up too much information freely, every three paragraphs has information that the narrator is just telling the reader. There is no suspense, no lead in, just straight explanations or telling the reader things. Which diminishes the value of any information if all of it is being told rather than shown. Every character is also treated like a joke, it makes it difficult to want to develop a connection to the characters. This is my current opinion as of chapter 15, this may change.
