the plot is quite well done overall if we remove the part where its all jumbled up into pieces and jumps from one part to the other, would have been more suited to being a game instead of a story tho. most of the time i have absolutely no idea whats it about. total waste of time for boredom

Butterfly Blue originally wrote this prequel back around 2015, and this translation has been my pet project for over two years now – I was translating this for a while before I began translating the novel officially. Unlike the main novel translation, which was worked on by a team, the prequel translation is entirely my own individual work, and I take deep pride in it. I am honored to now be able to bring the prequel to you in an official capacity. I have a lot of emotions about the prequel – about the characters, some new and some familiar but in a new context; about the stories that we now get to witness personally, instead of hearing about secondhand; about the additional insight we gain into this world of esports. There is a lot of good content here, and I hope that you enjoy this as much as I have. As of now, there are 21 chapters (that make up 7 “parts”) published on the official Chinese Qidian site. However, there are three more parts (maybe 6-7 more chapters) to the prequel: “Inheritance,” “The Beginning of Legend,” and “Dynasty and Youth,” which will take us up through the end of Season 3. If or when Qidian updates the raws on their site, then we will update the corresponding translation here. In the meantime, as always: thank you for reading, and may our glory never fade!
Honestly, I liked it. Concept was nice, and not common. The MC is, to put it in a bad way, weird, to put it in a good way, he's just eccentric. For me, his personality is a breath of fresh air. Story is pretty nice, also it has a good twist for the vr genre. I can let that weak/inconsistent gaming system slide. I'd say this is pretty unique. My only qualm is about the grammar mistakes. Like using the wrong words but similar words, or confusing sentence construction sometimes. But they are all readable, if anything, it must be because of writing fatigue or because there is no editor.
Just bad and boring, loss of time, I don't recommend at all. Everything is confusing or stupid, nothing about the rank or even the world is explained nothing to keep
Really Lovely BookThe descriptions of the scenes are accurate and helps my imagination quite a lot.Some missed grammar but they are very negligible.The plot is very interesting with little holes, The MC is strong but I still see some people who can deck him but cannot kill him.But I love the fact of no info dumbs at the very first chapterAlthough I do hate the fact that the system manipulated the mc but I was relieved that the mc noticed but decided to leave it, probably because it needs the system as much as it needs him.overall this novel is part of my must read.Thumbs up to Author??
