Found this while searching something to read, the site has a lot of hidden gems it's just that the search function it's awful. Worth the read, really good fighting scenes even if the world bulding leaves a lot to be desired, same with the descriptions.
So before I begin this review I want to say a few things.1. This is my own opinion and feelings on this story as of right now (it may change later).2. My score is relative to the material on this site (meaning a 5 on webnovel does not equal a 5 on a published book on Amazon).Review:It's been a genuinely long time since I've read an original story that has a well crafted setup with an evil protagonist. So when I found this I was naturally quite happy.Unlike most other originals on this site the author takes care to first introduce you to the MC (who in turn reveals the world to the reader). It's actually quite sad how many authors skip this seemingly insignificant step. With this introduction we begin to build a connection with the protagonist and begin to understand his motives, thoughts and feelings. With this understanding breeds acceptance (and excitement for some select individuals). This makes it much easier for the audience to enjoy and continue on reading even further. After understanding his motives and thoughts we begin to see the real magic of this story. How the protagonist reacts and deals with the people and circumstances around him. The author conveys this conflict magnificently. The audience anticipates on what will happen next knowing what we know. And then we enjoy the events that happen later as a result of this conflict. To be able to craft such a setup is a rarity not often seen on this site (which is unfortunate). The reason I will give you on why you should read this story is this (it's simple really). It's an evil protagonist story that will leave you wanting more. More conflict, more introspection, more murder, more deception, more manipulation, more depravity, more INSANITY.It's really unfortunate I'm not able to read a chapter every day to satisfy my wants. Oh well I'll find solace in the fact that the one who reads this review and tries this story out for themselves will eventually (if not sooner) turn out just like me...Overall it's good try it!Current Score: 4.6
Novel was really solid, translation was good and it held my interest, but the novel was dropped at one point and then switched to terribly edited machine translations.
Besides the fact that the "vr world combining with real world" idea has been done about a million times by now, this is one of the better ones for me. The scaling of stats and power for both enemies and allies is consistent and realistic. Only bad thing perhaps is how incredibly op his "cheat" is. if he just kills the level 1 monsters for like a year he should still be incredibly strong.
I have to say, the concept of the author is truly amazing! I really like how the story progresses by killing someone that the MC (Akio). Love that part! Will surely read more of your novel, mate!I do have some few points to point out. The story you wrote mostly has "telling" and few "Showing". It would be awesome if you could describe Aiko's facial expression, how his heart skipped a beat after seeing his parents dead, or the pain surging from his skin. These things helps us, reader, to imagine the scene more than saying they were covered in blood.Although the informal introduction was a bit funny, in formal writing (writing a book), that technique might appear odd. I don't know if this part is a matter of perspective, but I think sticking to formalities such as telling the character from someone else (another character) or an identification card (a subtle introduction) would be preferred than saying it on the spot. Lastly, there are some dialogue tags such as "An old man was seen talking to me." might appear correct, but in a dialogue tag, it sounds confusing. A simple "An old man walked up and said." would do its job since "said" is an invisible dialogue tag. There are few dialogues such as "Can you not." Spoken by the main character might appear force. Although that might appear witty, I think something like "Are you mocking me!" might show anger and hatred towards the creature imitating his parents before they died would bring more emotions. Kudos for the author!
The book is amazing so far, but I think it needs some plot development. I like how the chapters end off on cliffhangers, which I personally like. I wish they could express more details of his rivals, but it's still really good. If this book had an actual Pokemon game with it, with the same storyline, I would buy that game ASAP. DrxpyBoy, I'm really excited for your upcoming chapters! :)
What can I say? The synopsis, while a little cliche, still managed to attract me.
