I finally did my review of this novel, it gave me relief in my soul, it's like going to an imaginary bathroom after a long day of holding it and then doing number 1.

How repetitive is this? It's over 3500 chapters so there has to be at least a lot of repetition.
I kinda like this story a lot.
Quality light novel ruined by a poor translator. The person seems to directly translate: conjunctions and punctuation included. This results in many awkward sentences with commas that make them grammatically incorrect.
!Warning! This novel contains quiet protagonist who ISN'T shameless, is working to overcome true life adversity, and DOESN'T fall out of character whenever plot devices are needed.
All characters obey their character designs, and act within the bounds of personality limits. The plot flows well, and doesn't get ahead of itself.
The author is keeping up a constant stream of smaller chapters. This is easy on upkeep, and is a smart decision in case life gets busy or writer's block happens.
The only reason that this doesn't get a perfect score for me is that there are moments (very few, but they are there) where intense or emotional points don't hit home as strongly as they could. This is nitpicky, but 'hey' I'm allowed to critique. This is a review.
TL;DR: one of the best novels on this site, and it does it without containing all the gimmicks of the majority of novels here, like guilty pleasure harems/ruthless protagonist/protagonist achieving everything and being perfect/blah blah blah.
TL;DR;DR - Read this novel.
The story setting is really fun but it's a typical novel of this type. The MC doesn't have to put in any effort to learn to create cards, just automatically being able to 'tell' the best way to make them. And, of course, recipe's come just as naturally to him as breathing. No build-up or effort means no satisfaction from the result, which means you might as well remove the crafting part of the setting and just make it action.
Character's don't act like people, and they don't interact like people. Conversations are stilted and unnatural with a lot of author self-inserts that cause the conversations to jump from one point to another. The way they communicate is really hard to stomach. It gives me second-hand embarrassment. It just makes it impossible to be engaged with the story.
It's unfortunate. I love crafting stories. But this isn't a crafting story. If the author reads this, this would be a good story if you made the crafting something the MC worked towards consistently over the story's timeline and you improved the way characters interact and communicate. Those are the two points that are really dragging the story down.
