I don't even know where I start with the numerous problems this novel has.Firstly if the MC happened to step on a cockroach the next 5 chapters would be about the cockroach's illustrious family line the has connections to royalty and super duper grand mages and how they and the whole continent are now hunting the MC.This situation repeats it self 2 or 3 times in the first 40 chapters.Next would be the MC's iq as it starts at decent level and every chapter it drops a little.Now 40 chapters later the MC can barely form coherent thoughts, he just stumbles and plot armors his way through the story.With one girl even more lacking in iq than the MC blindly following for no reason at all and another girl that is plot armor in character form.I could literary write an essay on this novels shortcomings and not even list all that appear in the first 40 chapters.I am sincerely in awe by the people managing to reach this far into the story without asking a salary to read this "novel".If I could I would rate the story lower but I wouldn't be honest as the stability of updates and translation quality manage to add another star to this horrid story.
I like how this story has started. Although the author mentioned that the first chapters are being edited, I would like to say that it has potential. I also appreciate his vocabulary ('cause I have poor vocabulary hahaha), and the character development? Great job and keep writing!??
I was expecting a realistic story after reading the 1st chapter but by 7th chapter i realized that this will be just another pipedream novel about world peace and a hero raised out of tragedy (quite appealing to ignorant masses). The deceased grand mother character made sure that the MC will be person who is happy to have people walk all over him with an assuring attitude that he wont take any revenge even when he becomes powerful in the future. I guess these kind of MC's appeal to the hidden masochistic side of whimps.

It's not cliched like many other novels where MC is constantly fighting arrogant young masters who bully his friends, family or girlfriends. This is a cultivation novel fused with a bureacratic system where MC has to use his political wits to survive in addition to his OP skills. The novel has good characterisation and plot development even though it's pretty slow. The world building is excellent too.Unlike other novels, MCs flaws are magnified in this one, that only makes it more real and believable for the readers. MC is not completely likeable either and he grows colder as the novel progresses but despite that you would root for the MC.A negative aspect of the novel could be that there is brutal depiction of violence against women and some readers have also complained that aspects of NTR appears later in the story. Apart from these minor issues, this is a fantastic mature Xianxia novel for people who are looking for something different from the usual Xianxia novels.IMO though people should not despise the novel because of minor reasons like NTR, people should be chilled about NTR. Cheating is common in real life so why can't it be portrayed in novels. In many CN novels (including this one) the MC has more than 3 wives and 4 concubines(metaphorically or literally depending on the novel) but you can't accept it if the fairer *** seeks comfort from other men? Even women are people too you know, they are not perfect just like men.
That's a good novel, but I think you shouln't make too much chapters, as some novels are more enjoyable when they are short. In other words, it's no good if he transcends to another plane after becoming the best in his universe, it would be unlike MC's character.Hope Author reads and understand this !Thanks for your excellent work.Btw, I love your humor.

Story is not bad. It has good grammar and a decent plot. If you are looking for romance, so far there is none at all and I think ML will show himself on the mid or latter part since story is more on personal growth of FL as zombie/pretend human.
